Heaven on earth. Especially that heated infinity pool. But everything about the Inn is special, from the amazing location to the beautiful rooms to the super-friendly and well-informed staff. (And this includes the Linden Spa, where you'll get the best massage EVER.) I've been coming here every summer for a decade -- sometimes two or three times a summer -- and the place is just magic. I feel fortunate to have found it and you will too.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great, but try for a room with a water view and a balcony.

There is NO place like this anywhere on the Eastern Shore. The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. The common areas are cozy and beckon you to sit. The food is world class in the restaurant, Stars. The bar has a nice vibe. The natural setting is bucolic and the landscaping is so pretty. The heated pool is a nice size and the pool area was quiet though most lounge chairs were taken. I was able to relax right away. We rented a sailboat from their "fleet" of boats and took a 2 hour sail on the river. It was a beautiful boat and our captain David basically turned over the controls to my husband who really enjoyed an activity he is not able to frequently do. We booked on the late side for the week of the 4th of July and they only had one night available. I would have loved to stay longer, but they were unavailable past that night. Would return anytime.

This is the spot to stay in St. Michaels. We boated over and were given a slip about arrival. Best way to arrive in St. Michaels. We called Friday and were fortunate that the Inn had a room available for one night, normally 2 night minimum. Belmond reservationist Merilee was very helpful and offered rate I found online. I would prefer to booking directly. Our room was small but cozy. King bed and all the amenities one could ask for. I booked a massage in spa and Barbara was great. Bummer pool does not have view of river but offers tons of privacy. We ate dinner in town but had wonderful breakfast outside at Inn. They leave pot of coffee at table which is always appreciated.

Room Tip: If want view of river you need to ask.

The Inn at Perry Cabin is a great hotel to stay on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The picturesque setting on the bank of Miles River in St. Michaels makes for a truly special occasion visit. Adirondack chairs are grouped by the water on an expansive lawn and make for a special place to watch the sunrise in morning or share a cocktail in the evening. Stars Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and beautiful water views. Our Jr. Suite Rooms had an outdoor balcony to view the beautiful gardens, trees and water. The King size bed had plush pillows and soft linens and made for a great sleep. The toiletries in the large bath area were by Acqua di Parma and were generous in size. Double sinks, beautiful lighting, an enclosed shower and ceramic soaking tub (with Lavender tea), as well as double sided closet the 6 drawers, iron board and iron, safe all in bathroom. We had a bar area with apples and a mini fridge as well as more closet space. Overall the Inn is top-knotch and a great destination to explore the cute and quaint boating town of St. Michaels. Also on premises is a full-service spa, infinity edge pool, bicycles to share, bocce court, and dock for boats. St. Michaels is a great place to bike with wide berms on main roads and cute and quaint streets with period homes and gardens. Lot of shopping and restaurant choices as well as a Museum.

The Inn at Perry Cabin is a pristine property right on the shore. The Inn is well maintained, elegant, and charming yet not pretentious. The rooms are quiet and comfortable although a little over done with knick-knacks. I liked that you park your own car and don't need a bellhop. The staff is helpful and eager to please. They were able to somehow get us an extra night even though the Inn was full. The pool staff could have been more attentive (teenagers doing summer jobs). If you want a spa treatment, book early. The Inn provides wine tasting, tour guides, bikes, and kayaks at no extra charge. This is refreshing because most resorts try to nickel and dime you to death. The restaurant is very good, in fact, we had our best crab cakes in Maryland there! The Inn is next to St Michaels which is a cute resort town with good restaurants and a great brew pub. You can't go wrong staying at Perry Cabin.

The Inn of Perry Cabin is an example of how great Inns should be operating… not only is the setting serene and quaint but the moment you pull up to the door you are greeted with courtesy and genuine interest to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. The inn was clean, well appointed, well run from the stay to the meals….. not normally a review writer but I needed to recognize this inn as one of the best…..

One could spend hours sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the lovely lawn gazing at the harbor and theater of boats on the Miles River, with dramatic cloudscapes, brilliant cocktails (Cabin Mule, Bees Knees, Angostura Mai Tai, Bourbon Rickey), and a soundtrack of the local birds. This is THE eastern shore escape from D.C. The service is a bit idiosyncratic, but always sincere and smiling. For the best views of the Miles River (i.e., the inlet of the Chesapeake) and maximum privacy, stay in rooms in the Caledonia building. The restaurant scores with seafood and meat (who knew that the lamb would be the best item on the menu?) and an interesting selection of wines. The new hotel sailboats and cruisers are all top-notch, as are the staff piloting them. The downsides: there are the inevitable ill-behaved children, some ill-behaved dogs and dog-owners (clean up, please, it's not your yard), and on-a-bender guests visiting for nearby weddings, but those issues are far outweighed by the incomparable setting (hotel itself and waterside perch), warm welcome, and comfy lodgings. We will be back -- and can't wait.

Room Tip: Caledonia building -- rooms closer to the reception are noisier and/or face land rather than water.
