Perry Cabin is a wonderful propertu. Large comfortable rooms and very well maintained for a property of its age. We received very friendly service throughout. Some of the waitstaff were a little unpolished, but this isn't New York City, and they made up for this with humor and personality. We were able to relax and the view was incredible.

We stayed in a Master Waterview Suite. Large, spacious and bright. We were on the third floor which brought lots of light, and a secluded balcony. Our dog came with us and was made most welcome (for a very reasonable $100 fee). He was permitted to stay in the room whilst we had dinner which makes life a lot easier. We also enjoyed the fireplace for evening warmth whilst drinking some wine.

The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. The spa very good and the pub is good and the restaurant food is okay, but more attention to locally sourced drink wouldn't go amiss. There is a great brewery in town, and the Pinot Gris from St Michaels vineyard was up there with the wines we tried. Its sad to see only west coast wines or Delaware beer available - support your local vendors!

We really enjoyed taking out a kayak, relaxing in the grounds and walking into St Michaels. The hotel is expensive but you get what you pay for, though the 10% "resort fee" rubs a little, as does the $10 room service service charge. Either make it part of the rate or provide resort-level amenities - $65 a night for 'smores and bicycle hire is a bit rich!

Prior to spending long weekend at the Inn, had seen Conde Nast review ranking it up there with the best in the country. Don't get me wrong-- location, views and atmosphere were terrific. But Perry Cabin simply doesn't measure up. Upon arrival at 3:30 in the afternoon, room wasn't ready. Waited in the bar, until able to check in, another 30 minutes. So so cocktails. Junior suite was spacious, with a huge bathroom and great towels. But the bed was lumpy and saggy, causing one to sink into middle of bed. An odd "box" TV was placed on a trunk at the foot of the bed, blocking the view of the fireplace. Loved riding bikes into town the first day, but on Saturday, they were all occupied by 10:00AM. Get some more bikes Perry Cabin!. Dinner was fantastic and probably most memorable part of our stay. Awning on deck was dry rotted and torn. All and all we had a ball hanging out in town, cracking crab, shopping, and relaxing and St. Micheal's is a great weekend destination. But next time I'll be staying at a B&B for a quarter of the price and making a dinner reservation at the Perry Cabin, not sleeping there!

The minute you step foot on this property you start to relax and feel special. The atmosphere demands it. We stayed in a master suite. It was very well appointed and super comfy. Love the decor. Food was amazing. Didn't go to the spa this trip but have been there before and wasn't disappointed. Staff is attentive and nice. Close to all the great shops in St. Michaels. This hotel is super pricey but you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: It appears most rooms have a water view but I would try for a room on the second or third floors so that your view goes further. However the rooms on the first floor allow you to walk right out onto the lawn.

We loved the opportunity to take our five year old dog with us on a long weekend at the Inn at Perry Cabin, St. Michaels, MD. It was Labor Day weekend and we were able to enjoy the warm weather and beautiful views. Our spacious first floor room (we were upgraded to a sitting room with a separate bedroom and marble bathroom) had French doors to our own sitting area overlooking the Inn's sloping lawn and the water. The room decor was a tasteful tan and beige with blue accents. There was even a dog bed in the room awaiting our hound.
We had a delightful late lunch in the dining room which was cheerful. The staff did not rush us, even though we really arrived late for a luncheon meal. The front desk staff were pleasant and happy to recommend/suggest what to do and visit in the area. They also were able to secure some last minute reservations for us at a local restaurant.
I would recommend this laid-back but first class hotel for a slow paced, relaxing weekend.

Room Tip: I loved the first floor room facing the water.

A birthday getaway that was just that. Perfect. Room was spacious with water view. Lovely linens, best towels in a hotel ever. Bar service was a bit odd (3 different servers and worst cosmo ever)but still a top drawer place to stay...just skip the bar. Spa lovely treat.
