“Worth your time”

If you visit St. Michael's don't miss this laid back little winery. Good products, friendly people. Our only recommendation would be that they loosen up a bit on the tasting portions, though I suppose when offering 5 wines for $5 there is a limit to what you can afford to give away. We have seen this work at California wineries...a larger pour or second pour should pay back to the house in terms of more bottle and case sales.
They sell a chocolate Zin which apparently is enough of a gimmick to keep people coming back - at $25 a bottle!
They are also doing a series of sail tastings this summer which really sound like great fun.

“Best Little Winery In Town”
Reviewed June 27, 2008

Hopefully Erin will be your hostess .. as she was ours.

She was very knowledgeable about the St. Michael's wines and comes from a winemaking family from Oregon. Cute too.......

The wines were very good, considering Maryland is not known for its winemaking like California say ... but we tasted several and bought some.

We found some nice hats and other items to buy while there as well ...

All in all .. it was a great place to stop while trying to digest crabs and clam chowder!

Go ... have fun ... sip some ... you'll love it I bet!

“Charming afternoon”
Reviewed October 11, 2007

This is a small, emerging business that is local to the area. We received amazingly good service, including an impromptu tour (with explanation) out the back where they are making their wines.

They have an unexpectedly big range of wines for such a little start up business. They have a few tasting packages to choose from; $5 for tasting 5 reds or 5 whites or a little more $$ to taste a bigger range of their products. There were definitely a few wines in the mix worth spending a few $. The venue is charming and personal but not polished - which is consistent with their start-up business status and a refreshing change from other tourist venues.

I cannot express highly enough the fantastic personal attention we received and the friendliness of the fellow who showed us around. We will probably visit each time we return to Chesapeake Bay - just to keep an eye on this exciting little business.... and pick up a few more bottles, of course.

We had a lovely time at this winery. The samples were generous and delicious. The tour was interesting and the hostess was very knowledgeable about their product. A definate "must see" if you're in the area.

“Quaint little winery to visit if in St. Michael”
Reviewed July 17, 2007

This is a great place to stop off and visit if in St. Michael. It has a restauarant style tasting room where you can sit at the bar and taste or sit at a table and just enjoy some wine. They serve small snacks with the tasting. 1/2 the wines were theirs and the other 1/2 they get from other wineries. There is a vineyard but it is in the next town over. This is a great place to stop off at in St. Michael, but not necessarily a place you would solely go to St. Michael to do. The staff was nice for the most part, one woman was kinda not friendly and really adhered to her own strict measurement of pouring for the tasting. After the tasting we got a red syrah mixed icee/smoothie which was awesome and refreshing. We drank it outside in their patio seating. If you are in St. Michael, stop by here...
