My husband and I just got back from MD yesterday, and stayed at the Dr. Dodson house. First time in this part of MD, I did much research before committing to a B&B. Our initial search started with Annapolis, but quickly changed after I found out about St. Michaels... Very quaint, laid back town with much character! And that character was solidified after our stay at the Dr. Dodson House! We were first greeted by our innkeeper, Janet, as she was pulling weeds in their beautiful garden. Her personality bubbled at our first greeting, and just got better as the stay progressed! We also met her lovely husband, Gary, who was the host with the most! The room we stayed at was very comfortable, as well as the rest of the house. The greatest thing was being greeted each morning with a fresh cup of coffee (with a choice of many!) in our room, as well as the aromas coming from the kitchen! What will always live in my husband's heart is Janet's Egg's Benedict! What I found refreshing was that this B&B had two rooms only, which made it very easy for us to get to know the other people staying there as well our innkeepers at the hors d'oeuvres at 6:00 PM and breakfast! This was a great concept since we were able to chat with everyone, and made our visit even that more inviting! As our visit only last two nights, we walked away with a definite feeling of returning!
