Normally we do not eat dinner at hotels. We chose to eat here because we had a relatively long drive and were tired. We ate early and had a great table with a gorgeous water view. Out waiter was outstanding--great sense of humor, knowledgeable about the area, and very helpful with the menu. I had the red snapper-- delicious. My wife had the filet. She is very picky, but it was done precisely to her specifications.

We went here for dinner with a couple of friends on a Saturday evening. First off, if you want to make a reservation for dinner here, it's probably better to do it over the phone rather than OpenTable. When I tried making it with OpenTable, the only time I could get was 8:30 pm and we wanted a 6:30 pm dinner. However, when my girlfriend called the restaurant to make a reservation, they had plenty of openings available. And it showed when we got to the restaurant for our 6:30 reservation. It seems like they try to use the dining room that has views of the water mostly; a second dining room was hardly used. The table we were seated at, though, had a great view of the backyard and water of the Inn at Perry Cabin. I ordered the filet mignon, which was delicious and she ordered a lobster dish, which she enjoyed. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The attire seems more formal than casual, as many of the men who dined in the restaurant had suits, button down shirts, and/or ties (the two guys in our group just had polos on). I would definitely come here again (and would call for a reservation if I need to).

We recently stayed at the inn and had the chance to dine here twice. The meals were excellent both times. Our first night we had dinner and really enjoyed sitting in the mail dining room that overlooks the water. Each course we had was well prepared and innovative. Our second meal was Easter brunch. The selection on the Buffett was very impressive-oysters and lamb. The service for both meals was also top not h.

Easter brunch at Sherwood's Landing was a long-standing family tradition. As soon as we booked our table, in January if they'd let us, we all began salivating at the thought of their sublime crab cakes. Sherwood's is picey and brunch is no exception, but we all thought it worth the splurge. Sadly,no longer.

When we made our reservation this year, we asked about price and were assured that it would be the same as last year. Wrong. When we got the bill, it was roughly 50% higher.

And the food. No crab cakes. Soggy, tasteless cocktail shrimp. Tasteless poached salmon and quiche. Smoked scallops where tasteless would have been a step up. And the desserts. Not half as good as the Entenmann's you can find in every supermarket.

A 50% bump in price for more than a 50% reduction in quality. Not a deal I'd have taken had I known. Bring back the old owners. Bring back the old chef. Please.

We had a lovely dinner here during their March jazz night. The service was very good, food delicious and atmosphere charming. It was actually quite full which gave a buzzy, upbeat feel to the room, yet it didn't slow down the service or the quality. We enjoyed all of the dishes we had and already look forward to going back.
