While the restaurant was quite noisy, what do you expect from a rowdy Irish Pub? The food was pretty exceptional for a pub though. Two of us ordered the filet and they believed it's the best filet they've had in Talbot County. I ordered the Salmon w/ crab & shrimp sauce and it was quite tasty as well. I would definitely go back.

We were visiting St. Michaels for a three day wedding event.
One of the days happened to fall on the annual Oysterfest Day.
We were looking for a place for lunch and wandered into The Blackthorn. Big mistake.
I'll give them credit that under normal circumstances they might be able to get their act together, but with a full house they lost it big time!!
The service was terribly slow. The orders got confused. The dishes were brought to the same table ages apart, and some were not hot.
When we eventually got our food, it was O.K., but it was too late for that to count.......
What can I say - Oysterfest Day is not a surprise event. It happens once a year at a known date!! - Hire some additional servers for the day and get your act together!!!! (This comes as a free tip.....Take advantage of it next year).

The Irish Stew is a must have. Service at the bar is a plus. Bar mates should follow Confucius "better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt".

Firstly, as a person who eats out at restaurants three to five days every week, I was immensely impressed with Missy. I walked in as the restaurant was first opening and was greeted cheerfully and treated very well despite interrupting the typically slow period before lunch when most staff are busy prepping.

Friendly and knowledgeable describes the staff and management of this very cool pub. The decor was an impressive blend of Irish traditional and modern "hip". Traditional Irish music was popped evenly
