“Best burger in St. Michaels... and awesome everything else.”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

We sat in the pub area, and addition to the burger, which was simply glorious, we ordered the oyster stew, baked oysters, ahi tacos, scallops, and spinach salad with outrageous fried goat cheese on top. It was all perfectly cooked, and magnificently delicious.

Our server, Holly really made the experience special: we weren't sure about the scallops as an entree, so without blinking an eye, she arranged a smaller appetizer portion. She was fun, accommodating, and from now on I won't sit at a table she's not in charge of.(though I'm sure everyone else there is lovely)

With that said, it is a decidedly sedate atmosphere, so even if you're sitting at the bar, you had better plan on maintaining the decorum... or else head over to Foxy's.

“Charm and great food”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

Not having reservations on a Friday night we sat at the bar where you can order from either the tavern or restaurant menu. Both our drinks were very well put together, a sparkling wine and elderflower cocktail and a Pimm's Cup, barkeep does know his stuff also very attentive. Nice atmosphere at the bar.
Only ordered appetizers and bar food so don't know the full extent of the dinner menu but enjoyed all we had--crab salad on tomato, a creamy oyster stew chock-full of oysters, very thin-crust white pizza with sausage, beef empanadas with beans in the filling which is Caribbean style rather than the real thing from South America. But no complaints. And the burger someone else was having next to us looked awesome!

“Give me those ahi tacos again”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

They were amazing. Also loved the destructured seafood lasagna and salmon. While I generally love summer rolls (non-fried spring rolls) 208s were lacking.

“Our favorite restaurant in the whole world!!!!!”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

We have eaten at some of the finest restaurants around the world. 208 Talbot is our favorite by far!!!! The food, service, selection of entrees by far exceeds any other we've ever dined at. We travel 40 minutes every weekend that we're down on the Eastern Shore to eat there. We even will travel down for New Year's Eve (2 hour drive) just to be able to eat there and join in the festivities. David Clark and his staff are the best!!!!!

“208 Talbot Restaurant”
Reviewed August 11, 2012

We live in St. Michaels so we know all the restaurants. This was our 1st time to the 'new' 208 since it re-opened under the new chef. Everything was excellent and we couldn't have been happier with the food/service. We also like the fresh new [brighter] look the restaurant has and that the bar area still remains on the 'cozy' side.
