“Great location, best breakfast, couldn't ask for nicer innkeepers.”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

My husband and I stayed at the Hambleton Inn from 9/28/2012 to 9/30/2012 for our 40th wedding anniversary. It was perfect . The Innkeepers Sherry and Charles are lovely and couldn't be more hospitable. The location is perfect, right in the middle of town, right on the water and off street parking. The breakfasts were truly gourmet and served with loving care. We stayed on the third floor Mitchner room. My husband is 6'4"and we were fine with the slanted ceilings. It really added to the charm of the room. The view from there is the best. Mike and Joanne Carroll Philadelphia, PA

We enjoyed this place! The location couldn't be better and so was the service from very friendly people. We had the smallest room which is really too small for two-we are not tall or wide either.
The bath is in the hallway which is next to another room which I didn't care for but we knew this before going. This was the only room that was available for the night we wanted.
The only complaint I have was that the towels when they got wet smelled awful-sour. They need to get new ones.

The Hambleton Inn rates as one of the best B&Bs we have experienced. Very comfortable room and gracious hosts Sherry and Charles do everything they can to make their guests feel at home. Both breakfasts we enjoyed were amazing - truly gourmet as advertised. and the location could not be better, right on the dock in the middle of St Michaels. Our first night there, Sherry suggested taking the water taxi over to the Harbor Inn for dinner and we did. Highly recommend that too!

Thanks Sherry and Charles! We had a great weekend! - Chris and Britt Massei

My wife and I stayed at Hambleton Inn during the 4th of July holiday in 2010. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful. They have off-street parking and the St. Michael's dining and shopping are within easy walking distance to the Inn. The breakfasts were delicious, but be sure to let them know about dietary preferences ahead of time (i.e., vegetarian, health-related). Their breakfast fare tended toward quiche and other carb-heavy main dishes such as breakfast cheesecake! Tasty, but not for everyone. We stayed in the top floor room. While it was private (the only room on that floor) it meant that we kept bumping our heads on the dormer ceiling. It was a hot summer, and the window AC unit in our bedroom was working overtime. Our room was attractive, but our bathroom was across the hall. It featured a large attractive copper tub, but we would have preferred a stand-up shower. All-in-all, the Inn served as a quality home-base for our shopping, dining, biking excursions.

We decided to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary by taking the 1 1/2 hour drive to St. Michaels. This was our first bed and breakfast experience and as long as we find innkeepers as warm, interesting, and delightful as Sherry this will not be our last. Sherry had excellent suggestions on places to eat, museums to see, cruises to take. She made an exceptional breakfast which was both healthy and delicious. I love French toast, but had never tasted such an elegant rendition served with fresh fruit.
I highly recommend the Hambleton Inn to those who want a quiet setting near the delightful shops and restaurants on Talbot Street, beautiful view, and warm, hospitable innkeepers.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the harbor have a wonderful view. We chose the Talbot room which has a new shower. Ho...

My wife and I took a trip to St Michaels, MD in June. We stayed for two nights at the Hambleton Inn. We had a wonderfull time. The Inn is right on the water and a short walk to the museum and shopping in St Michaels. The view from the porch adjacent to our room was very nice. The owners of the Inn (Sherry and Charles) were very nice and extremely helpful with suggestions on places of interest in the area. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderfull. We would highly recommend a visit to the Hambleton Inn for a relaxing stay in St Michaels.
