We were disappointed. The appetizer was not as advertised. My wife's steak was overcooked, even though they said they could char it and still make it medium well. Service is difficult when the waitress has to cover two floors. The staff is very nice, but we will not return. The steak at Sherwood's Landing was superior to Theos.

“Perfect!”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

We dined here during our stay in St. Michael's. We had a 7 pm reservation and were seated upstairs. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband and I both ordered the petite filet mignon. They were cooked perfectly! Our server, Curtis, was the best. Couldn't be happier we decided to go there.

“Excellent!”

One of our best meals while visiting St Michaels. Atmosphere was lovely, service impeccable and food delicious. Our experiance was wonderful from beginning to end. My husband and I ordered the curried tomato soup topped with lump crab meat, a house salad and NY Strips (au poivre and bernaise) with sea salt encrusted baked potato and creamed spinach. The meal was outstanding!! A must!

“Excellent Dinner!”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

We recently spent a week at the Hyatt in Easton, MD. We spent a day shopping in St. Michaels' and ended a perfect day with a perfect meal at Theos'. Wasn't sure what to expect, as the restaurant itself is in a Victorian home. However, as sson as you walk in the door, you feel like you're in a five-star restaurant. The bar area is absolutely gorgeous. We had the fondue, as well as the shrimp and grits for app's. For entrees' we did filet mignon. Everything, including the service, was beyond exceptional. The desserts were off the hook, as well. Definitely looking forward to having another romantic meal here on our next visit to Maryland.

“Best dining in St. Michaels”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

My husband and I decided that for our last meal in St. Michael's that we would save up all day and really pig out. We chose the right place :)

The only reason this place gets 4 stars for me instead of five is because when we first arrived we almost walked out. The hostess was on the phone taking a reservation. Okay that is understandable but she didn't even make eye contact with us or even acknowledge that we had walked in, although we were practically on top of her because of the limited space. After she got off the phone she continued to ignore us and punch information into the computer, again not even making eye contact. To be honest it was pretty awkward. After she finished she finally acknowledged us and let us know it would be a few minutes until we could be sat. We found that odd because although the bar was full, there appeared to be only one table in the main area that was full, one table in the side room being used, and who knows how many tables upstairs. But we waited. And waited. And waited. She disappeared for a while and came back to let us know our table was being set up and would be ready soon. We looked over and the table appeared to already be set, complete with filled water glasses, but we continued to wait. It was probably about 5 minutes later and she led us to our table (which had not been touched in that five minutes).

Okay enough negativity and on to the positive. After we were sat we saw an appetizer go by that smelled absolutely heavenly. Our server came by promptly and informed us that it was their famous salt block which is a 500 degree block with your choice or either shrimp or beef. Of course we ordered it and it was maybe the best shrimp we've ever had. It came with a side of chimichurri which I normally would gobble up, the the shrimp was so yummy it didn't need it.

We didn't do any beer or liquor drinking at dinner (we spent quite a while at the brewery earlier in the day) but our server kept our diet cokes and ice teas filled to the brim.

The bread rolls served taste like an everything bagel. Very good.

For dinner I ordered the New York strip sliders which came with Swiss cheese and horseradish sauce, cole slaw and a side of french fries. You could tell the french fries were home made. My husband ordered a petite filet medium rare. What we really appreciated was that our server asked our husband to cut into his steak while he was there to ensure it was cooked to the right temperature. We've been to quite a few steakhouses and no one has ever done that before. We also shared a side of broccoli rabe and a twice baked potato. I haven't had either one of these items in a long time and Theo's did not disappoint. Our entire meal was very delicious.

I would recommend this place to anyone and I am certain that when we return we will eat here again.
