“Walked right in & right out”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

We were interested in having a few beers and a casual bar fare dinner. Walked into the bar side we were not greeted at all. Asked the bartender if we seat ourselves (how it usually works on the bar side of a restaurant where we come from) only to be given a snotty look and asked if we were dining. I told her what we came for only to be told to walk to the other side and wait to be seated. I told her thank you only to get an attitude ridden "your welcome" . We waited to be sat to see noone other than the maybe 10 people in the place. We walked out. Terrible way to start our honeymoon and first day in St. Michael!

Good place for lunch. Don't miss their Maryland Crab Soup it is loaded with Maryland backfin. They offer half a soup, sandwich or salad. Their wait staff is friendly. Its a great place to stop for a quick lunch.

We ate breakfast here on the advice from our hotel staff and so happy we found Carpenter Street! Breakfast was yummy and our waitress Sharon a delight. Later in the day we stopped back in for a light snack and cool beverage. Go! you will not be sorry!

“If it ain't broke, don't fix it!”

On my recent visit to St. Michaels, I stumbled upon this 'joint' for breakfast. First day, sat at the bar, solo, & was greeted with a warm smile by bartender Kate (I think that was her name). Courteous, professional,& delighted to chat and answer all my 'touristy' questions. Ice cold oj & a freaking fantastic omelet with crab & boisin. O. M. G. Had to go back the next day & brought my Aunt-sat at a table. Repeat of the previous day. My Aunt agreed how fantastic our food was. We both had the Chesapeake omelet but added Amish sausage links. Lisa, our server, was just a doll. So pleasant, with a lively spirit. There is a reason a restaurant is called a 'house'. A good restaurant treats you like a guest. A great 'joint' treats you like part of their family. Hi fives to front & back of this JOINT. Don't change a thing!!!
