“Ah, comfortable and cozy!”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful two night stay at The Snuggery. Our room had an adjoining fireplace, and Phil would have the fire going to await us on our return from a dinner out. Never have I experienced such warm hospitality! The breakfasts were delicious and the conversations delightful, whether we were discussing local history or Julia Child. The location of the inn is ideal - within walking distance of numerous shops, restaurants, etc. I hope we'll get a chance to visit again!

We have just returned to York Pa after a 2 night delightful stay with the Kennedy's at The Snuggery Bed and Breakfast. Everything was top notch for comfort and cleanliness and chef Phil produced two excellent breakfasts for us. Phil and Carolee were also very welcoming and we enjoyed conversation on many topics with them. We enjoyed St. Michaels and a side trip to Blackwater Wildlife Preserve an hour south. All in all, a lovely peaceful experience. We will definitely return to the Snuggery.

Room Tip: The first floor suite was very spacious with adjoining sitting room.

My sisters and I travel to St. Michaels every year to visit family friends. This is the second time that we have stayed with Phil and Carolee at The Snuggery Bed & Breakfast. We feel this is the perfect place to stay while in St. Michaels. It is located on a side street that is steps from the shops and restaurants on the main street. We were made to feel "at home" while staying in Phil and Carolee's lovely home. Parts of the house have the original log walls exposed. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and a bedroom downstairs connected to a sitting room with a fireplace. Each of the bedrooms are beautifully decorated with private bathrooms. (Very clean!) There are nice soaps and lotions in the bathrooms which has Carolee's touch. Each morning is started by sitting down to a absolute gourmet breakfast prepared by Phil. It is a delight to get to know Phil and Carolee before setting out to whatever we are doing that day. This time of year the evenings can be a little cool so Phil had a nice fire in the sitting room fireplace when we came "home". A perfect ending to the day.

Room Tip: The 2 upstairs bedrooms are perfect for one person or a couple. The downstairs bedroom is slightly...

Of all the B&Bs we have used throughout the US The Snuggery is by far the best. Not only are the rooms (only 3) charming and well appointed but the adjacent lounge is warm and welcoming. The owners, Phil and Carolee, are very well traveled and great conversationalists. They work really hard to make their guests stay a very enjoyable experience. Phil also serves up a great breakfast and he knows how to make a REAL cup of tea!

Room Tip: The downstairs room also has a pleasant lounge with a log fire.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure to be the guests of Phil and Carolee at the “Snuggery “ Bed and Breakfast located in historic St. Michaels. The Snuggery is an apt name for this quaint little home, which is full of history and charm. We were delighted by the location, which is just steps away from the harbor, shops and fine dining. We stayed several nights in the nicely appointed upstairs bedroom with a sparkling clean private bathroom. Each morning we were treated to a tasty home cooked breakfast with sweet local fruit and freshly "french press" brewed coffee, (yummm….I can still smell the aroma as it wafted up the stairs!)

Phil and Carolee were very gracious hosts providing insight into the local restaurants, bike ride routes, tours and points of interest. Rhonda and I enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Snuggery to anyone visiting the Eastern Shore area. We had a wonderful stay and know you will too!

We just got back from spending an great weekend at the Snuggery. This place is really nice and the food is fantastic especially the pancakes. Every time we walked threw the door the aromas coming from the house were amazing. The room has a nice bathroom and its very clean and right down the street from just about everything.

Just came back from a weekend getaway to St. Michaels, MD. Stayed at this bed and breakfast and it was amazing. The house was built in 1665 and it is beautiful, clean, and close to everything. The owners were great and the breakfast was delicious. Sad I couldn't stay longer. Will be definitely going back.
