“A Lovely Inn with a Lovely Inn Keeper”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2014

My boyfriend and I spent a weekend at the Inn right before the high season started, and we had a wonderful time. The Inn is perfectly situated on the sound, just a block off of the main street in St. Michaels. There is ample parking for guests, and you can park your car and leave it there while you walk your way through town.

The inside of the Inn is just lovely - the furnishings are beautiful and so comfortable. The kitchen is truly the heart of this Inn, and Aida presents a terrific breakfast spread each morning. Her wonderful personality invites guests to open up and get to know each other while sitting around enjoying a relaxed breakfast. She is truly a gem.

We stayed in the master bedroom, which has a large, private deck. The weather was not quite warm, so we enjoyed the deck sparingly, but we managed to enjoy lounging out there, sharing champagne, and watching the water for at least a bit.

I've stayed at other B&B's and Inns in St. Michaels, and this was my favorite. If you are looking for a comfortable, welcoming experience in what feels like a charming home, this is your place.

My husband and I just stayed at Aida's this past weekend and had a wonderful time. We decided at the last minute to take a quick getaway/Baby Moon and received a prompt response from Aida when I inquired about vacancies. Although Aida was out of town we were greeted by the sweetest hostess- Ruth :) who showed us to our room and set us up with a tray of cheese, crackers, fruit, dips and drinks. Later that evening we were greeted by Aida's husband, Steve, who recommended local restaurants to try and gave us a little history on the B&B. We decided to stay in the suite which I highly recommend because of the extra space, fireplace & your own private deck that looks out onto the water. We had the whole place to ourselves the first night. Ruth made the most fabulous breakfast both mornings during our stay & really made it feel like we were staying with family.
The weather turned out to be nice so we were able to walk to the shops & restaurants.
Cherry Street seemed to be the location for many B&B's, but Aida's was right on the water front. We look forward to visiting Aida's again during the warmer months & highly recommend this B&B.

Although the property is not luxury, it is very well maintained and Aida is a fantastic host. Definitely recommend for any couples visiting St. Michaels and looking for quality lodging right in the heart of town.

We spent 4 nights here in early November - it was the perfect place to stay. Aida is a wonderful host & we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The decor is Victoriana as one expects from the name, rooms cosy & quiet with tv,breakfast amazing. There is a lounge area with TV & lots of DVD,s. A deck front & back with comfortable chairs to enjoy sunshine which we were lucky enough to do, & the view of the water on the doorstep makes it a heavenly place to stay. Aida you have a great home & we count ourselves lucky to have shared it for a few days.

We happened in here by chance in September while visiting the Chesapeake Bay area. We heard St. Michael's was right on the water and had good B&Bs. Aida's is lovely with a big porch looking out over the harbor. We could easily walk to town and the harbor restaurants - 5 minutes each, but felt removed from any touristy noise. It was quiet, pretty and the rooms are fully renovated retaining original character. Aida was very helpful giving good dining tips and exploring ideas but leaving us alone too. I do not enjoy B&B owners who butt in too much. She is just right and serves great breakfasts too!

We stayed one night at this lovely inn. Aida immediately made us feel at home and was genuinely concerned that we were comfortable. We enjoyed some quiet afternoon time on the porch, watching the boats bob. Very peaceful. The place is homey and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, nice to have some choices. I agree with other reviews that some of the fine finishes could be improved, but overall, a great experience. We will be back!

Any problems we had with the inn were overshadowed by the delightful Aida.
A coat of fresh paint throughout would be nice, as would some reading light in the bed.
Breakfast was perfect with any individual preferences noted.
We never did get wine as others did, but we bought our own.
I can't stress enough how accommodating the owners were, but in all honesty, a little paint would improve appearances.
I wouldn't hesitate to return.
