St Michael's is a very lovely area and to get a better look at it you can take the Patriot to see some of the surrounding area. The boat is OK with average food and drink. The time on the river is very pleasant. I would recommend it for someone new to the area with a little time to kill.

I had such a wonderful time for my birthday in St. Michaels. The best part was taking a cruise on the Patriot. The captain let me steer the ship and he even sang happy birthday to me over the loud speaker! We got to see a wedding taking place at St Michaels at the light house. The captain's wife was great! Such a good time!

I recommend taking binoculars to maximize your enjoyment, as they do not go very near many of the sites they point out. I think you can rent them on the ship. This was a very pleasant trip. The ship was very clean and safe. The crew and ticket seller were very friendly. They really want you to enjoy the experience.

We decided on the 90 minute cruise and did not regret it. The day was sunny with a refreshing breeze. We learned so much about the Chesapeak and the Miles River.

We've done this river trip 4 times and it's a great afternoon adventure. The Captain gives great personal notes about the homes along the river, which ones you've seen on the big screen and which ones belong to the big screams. Climb aboard and enjoy the 60-90 minute ride.
