Did I mention 'GOURMET MEALS'...for all of the true bed and breakfast lovers, for those who seek an off the beaten path, quaint, old world flair for a needed escape for you and your significant other - you have to come and stay at this wonderful Inn. Perfect for getting away with your spouse, cozy up by the fireplace with a nice wine, cater to one another's needs and relax...catch up with the beautiful stranger on the other side of the bed. The Inn Keeper(also a Master Chef) and the gourmet chef is so nice. Warm and welcoming. The place is clean, the rooms are huge and it's sooo peaceful and quiet - the perfect escape for hardworking parents or couples in need of some quality time and a welcomed change of...

“Sleepy town”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

Just drove thru and there wasn't anything that made us want to get out and explore. We had eaten already so we pass by the few restaurants we came upon. Didn't see any stores, museums or artist studios.

“Lovely, untouched "get away from it all" place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

While visiting St. Michael's, Maryland, our family made the 'road-less-traveled' trip to Tilghman Island for the day. While one visitor remarked 'there's not much to do unless you like to fish,' keep in mind that's exactly the reason others may love this quaint, still untouched by progress place. You can make the drive to the furthest point of land and be surrounded by the ocean in front of you and a bird sanctuary to the rear! Select an out-of-the-way shop for a pop or relax with a bloody mary by an authentic drawbridge as the sun goes down and artists capture the pelicans and wildlife around the river. Overall, Tilghman Island is an experience you should have...even if it's only for a few hours.

“Oyster Heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

We recently visited the island on Tilghman Day which falls on the 3rd Saturday in October. This is an annual event to raise money for the fire house. If you love oysters, crab cakes and assorted sea food specialties this is the place. We witnessed various events such as anchor tossing, oyster shucking, boating contests, etc. while enjoying some of the worlds freshest and tastiest oysters. People were friendly and the local band was just outstanding. Couldn't see everything we wanted in a single visit so we will definitely will return next year.
