“Nice little diversion...”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

Spent a few hours here with the children. Several little exhibits to see, It was a nice afternoon diversion, but definitely geared toward the "waterman" lifestyle.

“A true gem”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

This is a great place for families or anyone else. Great history of the Chesapeake Bay, with special attention to the way it transformed from primarily a working/fishing region to a recreational region. The boat ride was nice as well.

“Great Museum”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

The museum was an unexpected treat. This is an engaging and somewhat participatory museum manned by interesting, well informed, friendly locals. There are a number of exhibits spread out on the grounds, almost all of which captured out attention. We climed the restored light house and used the "rake" to harvest Oysters at the oyster house. Don't miss it and plan to spend some time there.

“A Must See”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

The lighthouse was really fun to walk through and actually see the living quarters of the keepers. The old wooden boats were beautiful. I also enjoyed reading about the history of the crabbing industry. It is a great place to spend an afternoon with or without children. There is something for everyone.
