Description: Tucked away in a 22-acre nature preserve just fifteen minutes from Georgetown, Tower Oaks Lodge has the look and feel of an authentic Adirondack lodge. Divided into four dining rooms, the Lodge contains a vast collection of art and artifacts such as vintage canoes and row boats, and antique saddles and trophies. Chef Jeffery Eng, formerly of 1789 Restaurant, presides over the kitchen team featuring a menu of great American saloon-style food. The Lodge offers the freshest seafood, locally-grown seasonal vegetables, pastas, and salads, as well as Clyde's classics such as cheeseburgers and chili.

“Expected the animals to start talking a la Bugaboo Creek!”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

Really surprised to find this place in a Rockville corporate park; the lodge theme is unexpected and a bit over the top (if you are not a fan of taxidermy, you'd better skip it!) But as others have noted, the dining room atmosphere is comfortable and quiet, and the oysters are fantastic. I also had a cream of asparagus soup that I really enjoyed. I would go again, perhaps try it for oysters and appetizers at one of the bars.

“Nice place to eat and hang out”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

Clyde's a corporate restaurant. We all know this kind of restaurant needs management. So far so good. Food is ok. Oyster always fresa and very good. Ambiance is up to you. You like a wood cabin feeling you get it. You rather going out with friends to a bar, you got it. Or if you are like me. I rather seating in the back room with the big windows facing the woods. Actually I will make reservations for mothers day, Enjoy it!!!

“PART OF A UNIQUE CHAIN OF DC AREA RESTAURANTS”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

The restaurant is large and charming, looks like it's been there for 80 years but it is only about ten years old. Has several bars for the bar inclined. the food is a bit heavy, sort of American French, but very good. They have some imaginative things on the menu. It's the only place where you can get good liver and onions.

Service is excellent.

Can't go wrong at Clyde's. it is a magical place, with lights and the whole lodge look, and the food is always great and the service excellent. A sure bet and our "go to" for birthdays and other events.
