New to the area, was told Addie's was a must. Mussels ARE TO DIE FOR. Service was prompt, professional and friendly. Unprompted, our waiter brought a a birthday dessert to the table. Loved the small, warm, INTIMATE environment. Reasonably priced.

I used to love Addies but two recent trips have found the service really wanting. At these prices, not cool. This last time, my husband got a salad as an appetizer, and then that same salad delivered as his entree. They very quickly delivered the fish he'd actually ordered (and had an extended conversation about, as he'd ordered it). Water was never refilled, we had to hunt them down to get more wine, and getting them to give us the check was another hurdle. To their credit, they comped us a glass of wine to make up for the late entree. The place wasn't full, so I don't think they were understaffed. Maybe they were. This is on top of another dinner about 6 weeks ago where two people weren't served together and one of us resorted to getting a water bottle out of her purse. I hope its just a phase because the food is good here.

True chefs and very accomodating to small changes in entrees. All of our meals were outstanding. Just off a very busy Rockville Pike but set back enough so that traffic noises were minimal. Parking can be a little tough if full and this place seems to be full all of the time so reservations are strongly encouraged. The only negative are some of the snotty customers who frequent the place and frankly treat some of the waitstaff like third-class citizens. It's a shame to see that in supposedly global Montgomery County. This is not a good place for children at all espcially the brats who were with the snoots we had to experience.

Little restaurant tucked back in what looks like a home off Rockville Pike, could be easy to miss. The atmosphere is cozy and probably not well suited to crowds. More formal dining that the outside of the building would suggest, with more formal prices. Unique dishes, medium quality, a bit overpriced. You probably will want to try it once but not necessarily become a regular diner.

Visited Addie's today very excited from the reviews and pictures on YELP. They have a great menu that changes daily apparently. The food IS good. But the experience was partly ruined by an indifferent attitude from the bus boys and an antagonistic waitress. I had the stone ground grits with shrimp and ham. Strange, but it tasted great even though I didn't eat the ham. My date had the salmon which looked great and was incredibly crispy on the outside but tender inside. Had the bus boys cared that customers actually came into the restaurant and the server been in such a bad mood toward us, this establishment would have lived up to the good reviews. Maybe it will on another day. Today? 3 stars is the best it deserves.
