The Inn at Osprey Point
Ranked #1 of 10 Rock Hall B&B and Inns
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed June 5, 2012

The Inn at Osprey Point proved to be all we had hoped for and more. We were attending a wedding, and it was our first trip to Rock Hall. This was perfect! We also happened to have the most gorgeous weather EVER...for the wedding and for touring around Chestertown on Sunday. The folks at Osprey Point were so friendly - they were fine with my son and friend arriving early and staying late to enjoy some time pool-side. And the rooms in the Annex were lovely...we liked the location at the marina...maybe another time we'll stay at the main inn. Breakfast was great, all in all, a really relaxing stay at a beautiful place! We'd like to come back in the Fall, enjoy the scenery, the cozy setting, take advantage of the bikes and kayaks, and enjoy the heated bathroom floors! : )

Room Tip: The Annex, where we stayed, was a short walk or drive from the main inn - not at all inconvenient...

My boyfriend and I had been looking forward to this vacation for months, and it did not disappoint! The Foreward room was beautiful with a private balcony overlooking the bay; even though our room was in The Annex, it was 4/10 of a mile walk from the main inn and an added retreat into relaxation. Terri provided us with endless helpful kindness every step of the way, and we truly felt like we were her top priority. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, we recommend the scallops! We also were treated to the Chestertown Tea Party Festival in nearby Chestertown, Md., which was an added bonus. All in all, an incredible and memorable trip!

Room Tip: Be sure to take advantage of the included breakfast each morning!

We caught the sunset, it is so beautiful!

Be aware there aren't too many places to eat dinner in this town.
We got caught out and managed to find food 30min away in Chestertown.
But really relaxed vibe that made for a perfect getaway.

Room Tip: The Annex at the Point are great if you like being close to the sea

We made a last minute decision to spend Friday night in Rock Hall at the Inn at Osprey Point. It turned out great. Stayed in the Port room, which is in the Annex a 1/2 mile from the Inn. We had a terrific view, looking out at the Marina. Also enjoyed dinner that evening at the Inn.

It was our first time in Rock Hall. We'll definitely be back.

My husband and I just spent two nights at the inn and stayed on the third floor. (We don't mind stairs.) The room was quite spacious and not at all what you would conjure up of a third floor room with a dormer window. It had very high ceilings, wide-plank pine floor and all the amenities of a fine B&B. Our 4-poster bed had a firm mattress so we slept quite well. While the bathroom was on the small side in this room (Shamrock), it was fine for us since it had a bathtub and shower. We had a view of the marina out the front window and of the side yard with kayaks and picnic tables out the small quarter-round window. The atmosphere here is homey, and everyone on staff is very friendly and willing to accomodate in any way, especially Terry and Alice. Breakfast consists of a variety of cold cereals, yogurt, fruit platter, fresh pastries, bagels and English muffins, coffee, juice and a hot item. The asparagus mushroom quiche was fantastic! We also enjoyed an excellent dinner downstairs in the restaurant on Saturday evening, where Deborah served us "whale" soft-shell crab and the freshest possible rockfish as an entree. Yummmm. (It was good to discover her as our server again.) We left knowing that we will plan to return!

Room Tip: Second floor rooms are larger but mostly above the restaurant, so if you are bothered by evening noi...

We stayed three nights in the Annex (Port) at the Inn and enjoyed it immensely. We loved the Annex being right on the water with lots of windows and beautiful views. The room was very spacious with a king size bed and a seating area. The owners have great taste and everything was well considered from the coffee selection with the in room coffee maker and homemade cookies in the room at check-in to the comfortable chairs, oriental carpets, and lovely linens on the comfortable bed. All was spotlessly clean. We liked satying in the Annex and watching the activity at the working marina. At check-in, I had the opportunity to view several of the rooms in the main Inn and the pictures on the website are true! I would not have been disappointed with any room. We ate dinner at the Inn on two nights and both were the best food we had on our trip around the Chesapeake Bay area. The chef is from the area and very talented -- the crab bisque was amazing! Breakfast was served in a charming room, separate from the more formal dining room. They were good too, with an assortment of bagels, breads for toast, danish, scones, fruits and a delicious housemade quiche. All in all, this is a lovely place. We used it as a base to explore the surrounding area and had no regrets. Terri, the Inn Keeper is a treasure. She is so friendly and helpful -- she is from the area and has great suggestions for things to do. We followed her suggestion for a sunset cruise and loved that too. Great place!

What a fabulous weekend we had at this Inn. We stayed in the Annex right on the water and enjoyed a restful, relaxing stay. The rooms are large and so very comfortable. The personnel at the Inn are very friendly and accommodating, and we just can't wait to go back. The restaurant is also excellent!!
