My new wife and I had the privilege of having Kate at the Black Duck design and organize our wedding. We could not have been more pleased. Everything from the décor to the hors d'oeuvres, through the ceremony, dinner (crab feast) and music was impeccable. Located on the water the setting was both beautiful and intimate. She developed a nautical theme and prearranged a Sea Captain to marry us after sailing into the dock. All the incidentals that you sometimes overlook were taken care of. The whole event was perfect.
Our families came from out of town and stayed at the Black Duck B&B and were more than pleased with the accommodations, food and service. Sunday breakfast was delicious and made only with fresh ingredients. There is a feeling of familiarity as if you belonged there all along.
This place is special because of the people who run it. Kate and her team are attuned to the area and like to share their experiences and the town’s history. So if you find yourself in Rock Hall you can’t go wrong staying here or stopping in for Sunday breakfast and a cup of coffee. Tell them Kim and Paul sent you.

This harborside cafe is a terrific find ! Located across the street from the Black Duck Inn (same ownership), this seasonal delight specializes in fresh, eclectic fare. Everything is made by the 3 women who run the place ... including the crusts for their incredible pizzas. You haven't lived until you've had their fruit pizzas ... beautiful to behold and a treat to the palate. Quiches are made fresh in the morning and the egg sandwiches are loaded with veggies if you let Kate make it "her way".

The service is fun and cheeky... be prepared to laugh ... these women have a good time and it shows! They're open during the season for Sunday breakfast / brunch. Had the pleasure of catching the girls for some conversation and they plan to be open next season on Saturday evenings too (from about 5 PM til 8 or 9) ... byob. The fare will be fresh, eclectic and changing.

The setting is perfect and very relaxing. I can't wait to return ... love this place !!!!!

We were in Rock Hall for a wedding and stayed in the Carter room at the Black Duck Inn. The room was very nice and Kate made us feel very welcome. Great views and a good (included) breakfast at the cafe. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Carter room was nice!

Stopped in by boat for lunch. Met Kate and the staff felt like we were at home with friends within minutes. We ordered food but they did not take credit cards, the staff drove us up to the bank at rock hall. Kate made our order but also started bring out more "sampler" foods. everything was tastey. We did not want to leave but a storm coming in cut short a great day.
Thanks for all the fun!

This is the third Inn where my wife and I have stayed over the last several years and the FIRST I felt strongly enough to write a review about! The Staff made sure we were well set and the room was outstanding and nice and cool...The bikes made getting around easy...and the Cafe was a totally exceptional surprise.....We had a friend join us there over the weekend and everything went so smoothly it was hard to imagine.....We WILL be back!! Thanks for a great time!

The Best in Rock Hall. Great location and docks for boats! Fun and friendly place to visit and the cafe was excellent. Never rushed. Superb location - we walked to all the pirates weekend activities. Never had to use the car!

Our first time in Rock Hall and did we ever select the right place to stay. The inn is quaint but not over done and all the rooms (that we peaked into) were cozy and comfy. It was over 100 degrees and we were as cool a cukes in our room! Sitting out front on the screened in porch is almost too relaxing as the boats travel in the harbor and the blue herons are forever fishing around.

We rode the BDI bikes around town, and as Kate told us, we should be embarrassed if we found ourselves lost... she was correct, and of course loosing our way was not an option - it's a small town.

The place is great, breakfast basket served to our room...and the Dockside Cafe...well - just check it out!
We Will Be Back!
