We stayed in the island Cottage. Jim, Joanne, & their welcoming committee (3 happy & excited dogs) provided us with a very comforting greeting. We toured the large, secluded property, & everything was very clean & cozy. Cottage was equipped with anything we needed. The option of breakfast at the inn or at their local coffee shop made our morning extremely relaxing because we weren't rushed. We can't wait to come back during the summer months for a longer stay to enjoy the floral scenery & summer activities!

It would be reasonable to drive across seven states to taste the berry cobbler/bread pudding served at the Inn of Huntingfield Creek. If not for the outstandingly warm and friendly inn keepers, Jim and Joanne, their pack of enthusiastic dogs, and the fine accommodations and surroundings. The ascetic beauty of Delmarva in winter (we stayed two nights during the holidays) is deeply peaceful and refreshing. Inside, our tasteful and spacious private house ("cabin" sounds too average for what you get) was far above the quality that most inns provide. There is room on the property for long country rambles, and miles and miles of countryside and wildlife preserve along the Bay, beyond. Baltimore rises on the distant horizon over the water, but it might as well be across an ocean, with the rejuvenating away-from-it all feeling that the Inn at Huntingfield Creek awards its guests.

Room Tip: The private cabins are all excellent value

From the moment my husband and I arrived at the Inn for our overnight getaway, we were floored by the picturesque landscape & views... We had the warmest of welcomes by both the Inn keepers, Jim & Joanne, and their adorable canine "welcoming committee"! During the entire experience we were made to feel like home. We stayed in one of the cottages, which was beyond all expectations- well kept with fantastic features (heated floors, gas fire place, etc.), beautifully decorated. Although it was an unusually rainy December weekend, we had a lovely view of the grounds. It truly became our own tranquil escape.... Jim and Joanne don't miss a beat- providing all the amenities, service & hospitality you could ask for! As described in previous reviews, the breakfast was delicious! The spread and intricate touches made you feel like you were right at home... They open their hearts and their home and there is not a detail that goes overlooked. I can't wait to return for the spring/summer season and came home raving to all my friends and co-workers- you MUST experience this hidden gem for yourself! Thank you for the amazing experience, Jim & Joanne (and the Inn pups, as well!)

My wife and I stayed four nights at the Inn at Huntingfield Creek for an anniversary trip. The location is great and the grounds were beautiful. The room we stayed in was the Huntingfield in the main house. It was very spacious and extremely clean. The breakfasts were tasty and generous. Jim and Joanne were wonderful hosts, and their four dogs were very sweet. We had a great visit and hope to return soon!

My wife and I spent only one night there this fall as an anniversary getaway. Jim and Joanne are great hosts. They really want their guests to enjoy the place. Rooms were great, all have kingsize beds. Best part is there aren't a lot of antiques around and not very many "do-dads" sitting on all the flat surfaces. Grounds are lovely and their dogs are excellent companions. And a full breakfast to boot. Not your usual fancy french toast. This is how all B&B's should be.

Room Tip: In the winter, book one of the cottages with it's own fireplace.

My husband and I booked the Zen cottage for our 15 year anniversary and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The inn keepers, Jim and Joanne, were more than accommodating, providing a delicious breakfast each morning and lots of advice on things to do nearby. Their warm welcome will definitely bring us back again! The cottage was absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The beautiful fall colors were breathtaking as we walked out to the water and sat on the dock. Absolutely amazing place to stay.

Room Tip: The zen cottage was quiet and peaceful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the fireplace added a...

We feel blessed to be allowed to share in a special stay like an anniversary. We remember very well how important it is to get away and just be 'a couple'. Glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves!

Our bike trip up the Eastern Shore from Norfolk to Rock Hall was a last minute decision..but oh so much fun. Fortunately the fall weather held. Able to explore at leisure and with great pleasure. We chose The Inn at Huntingfield Creek in Rock Hall, Md. as it was a choice of the Vermont Biking Tour. Jim and Joanne were gracious hostesses as were the labs, etc. Wonderful walk to the creek/the out building cottages seemed lovely w/a mental note to return..the wildlife reserve was closed..we explored by car to the landing and then refreshed for breakfast @ the great coffee shop. The Waterman's Crab House was our choice for dinner the night before..best clam chowder ever..w/real cream..no flour. We vow to return next year w/spouses even though they don't bike!! Enjoy!

Room Tip: Think I would enjoy one of the cottages, as it was easy access to outside.
