My husband and I stayed at the Inn from Jan 21-Jan 23 to celebrate his birthday..We stayed at the Zen cottage and it was WONDERFUL..The Innkeepers Jim and Joanne were away and we had the pleasure of Amy being our host..She was phenomenal..She was so helpful and the food was sooo good..That bread pudding was definitely a great thing to have on the menu.lol..There was only one other couple there and we all had a GREAT breakfast and nice conversation. The cottage was just beautiful..We wanted peace quiet and relaxation and thats exactly what we got..The weather was pretty cold and slushy and still the grounds were so pretty..We are DEFINITELY going back.. The people in town were so friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this property :-)

Though we are only a 2 hour drive from the Towson area, on occasion we plan one of our Rock Hall/Chestertown trips to go long and always stay at this Inn. Even though Chestertown is 20 miles closer to home and would make our return trip shorter, my Fiance has falling in love with the owners and the location, and we also stay here. Great place to unwind over a weekend

We were looking for a weekend get away where all our friends and family could get away and spend time together. With most of our guests coming from outside the area, we wanted some place that felt like we were having our guests over to our house for a long weekend to experience MD's Eastern Shore. We definitely found what we were looking for at this Inn.

Jim and Joanne are wonderful hosts and more than willing to share tips on the local community. The Inn and the grounds are picturesque and the rooms are very clean, modern and comfortable. Joanne is a great cook and made the perfect dinner for our Wedding of local ingredients with a unique twist. She has created such a beautiful space in the barn that all we had to do was bring in tables, chairs, linens and all our guests.

A perfect location, with perfect weather, for a perfect event! Best of all we could bring our dogs to enjoy the trip with us. I can' wait to come back and stay for a weekend.

Having booked our stay at the Inn several monthes ahead of time, my boyfriend and I could not wait to get there, and all I could say was it was definitely worth the wait. The innkeepers Jim and Joann were so welcoming andthe breakfast was amazing (especially the lemon grass pancakes with Joann's homemade blackberry syrup) and full of fun and interesting conversation. The cabin we had stayed at was beautiful and the property was nothing short of breath taking. In the three short days we were there, we managed to shop, fish, kayak, hike, swim, and relax. I also loved the company of the three dogs. We will definitely go back again and are even considering a wedding there in the future!!

Room Tip: For great food at 1/2 the price try Bay Wolfs on a Monday night. For lunch try Java Rock, you can ev...

My girlfriend and I spent a wonderfully restful few days at the Inn. The innkeepers Jim and Joann could not have been better. They are warm, charming, smart, and so much fun to talk to. They genuinely enjoy taking care of their guests. The Inn is beautiful. The rooms, the grounds, the pool, everything is just top notch. It's like staying in the beautiful home of lovely and cool friends.

Great farmland around the Inn. Beautiful scenery. Great lakefront that we visited, escorted by their pet dogs who went swimming while we sat and relaxed by the lake.

The reason for our trip was that my girlfriend spent summers in her childhood visiting family in the area. Sadly, her family are no longer with us, but she wanted to show me a place that holds a lot of special memories for her. The plan was for us to visit one time, and one time only, because there really isn't all that much to do in this part of Maryland. But...we enjoyed our stay at the Inn so much, we're planning to go again, and next time we're going to stay at one of the private cottages on the property. That's how much we like Huntingfield. It's a destination in itself.

Absolute perfection in a B&B.

In our short stay, we were able to swim, kayak and bike, right from the front door. The bed was very comfortable, the house beautifully laid out, with several large common rooms. There was tea, wine and fruit, on the house, and a library's worth of books to read. The experience was perfect for my husband's 60th birthday getaway. Jim and Joann have spared no expense in making this a first class and welcoming lodging.

I am here with my dog to write and spend some time away from the city. This is a perfect inn and location. It is very quiet and peaceful. I spend most of the day writing while my dog sit on the deck. We are staying in one of the cottages. It is very clean and comfortable. We pick up dinners at restaurants in town and coffee from Java Rock. The town is very friendly and welcoming. At the end of the day, we sit and look out at the bay. This is an excellent Inn for quiet work and rest.
