Friendly staff and fresh food. Portions are generous. The soft crabs are huge! I highly recommend stopping in.

If you are looking for delicious, quality seafood, this is the place, but they make you work for it! I have been eating here once a month since I found them a while back and the food is consistent and delicious, my favorite being the fried butterfly shrimp. When you go in, you are greeted by just a hand full of small tables which is a surprise because the building is huge with parking for like a hundred cars. It is as if they didn't really intend to have any customers come to the site! The parking lot is old tiny rocks and full of pot holes, typically filled with muddy water.

After a moment, you will see the menu which is written on the back wall in chalk. I love that b/c it has that old time "roadside joint" feel to it. At this point you will notice that the prices are high for the area, but anyone traveling will think they are either right in line or even low. There is an older guy behind the counter who will take your order and tell you to have a seat. He exhibits zero warmth and I always feel like I am keeping him from doing something else. For drinks they have a cooler with Snapple and a couple of other items. You pay after you eat - I assume to make it easy if you want a second drink.

When the food comes up, they announce the order and you come and get the tray - now you are to the good part! I can't say enough positive about the food - classic, high quality, delicious seafood. Yum!

On the downside, stay away from the scallops - mine were overcooked - alot - and note that the side item choices include no green veggies - just cole slaw, potato salad and such.

FWIT, the bathroom is circa 1920 and while technically clean, will not give you confidence that the kitchen is run like a tight ship...

OK, so awful parking lot, clean/functional but uninspiring dining area and bathroom and a staff that is lackluster on a good day - AND I STILL GO, because the food is THAT good. If they took the next step, this place could be legendary. I hope they do!!!

Recommended by relative who lives in the area. Fresh seafood, well prepared, very reasonable. Yummy crab cake sandwich--bigger than most. Friend had fried oyster sandwich, onion rings. Would go back again and again. Mostly takeout. Approx. 10 tables.

Local seafood, U.S. shrimp, fresh, fresh, fresh. Heavy duty portions, and the absolutely highest quality. This place is totally on target, with extremely knowledgeable staff. Although most (but not all) entrees are fried, Beach to the Bay is NOT TO BE MISSED! Their house made Cream of Crab and Maryland Crab are outstanding (a little pricier but very good). The Fried Shrimp was really good but my HUGE Seafood Platter #2 with a giant portion of flounder, the most plump tender clam strips I've ever had, a Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with little filler and plenty of crab with the choice of two sides ($18.95) was OUTSTANDING! Do not miss this joint if you're in Princess Anne. It's informal but definitely still #1 for dining in the area! They are now marketing their seasonings, marinades, etc. under Somerset Bay Foods! Maybe I'll be able to get them at home soon!

Being local I know my seafood, and you cannot beat the seafood here. From soft crab sandwiches in season to lump crab cakes everything is wonderful. Can't beat the prices either!
Don't expect fine china, everything is served in styrofoam. If this helps keep prices down I have no problem with that!
