Description: MoCo's Founding Farmers is owned by the more than 40,000 family farmers of the NDFU. serving American inspired real food and drink with an emphasis and focus on scratch-cooking. While our restaurant is supplied by hundreds of family farms everywhere, that doesn't mean we know every farm, and that doesn't mean we never have to buy product from the traditional (corporate) supply chain. However, it does mean that we are working hard to direct our purchasing dollars where it aligns with our values. We're serving the best food we can, made from scratch in our kitchens every day. Our innovative, American dishes are made primarily with pure ingredients honoring the farmers and their hard-earned bounty.

Two grandparents, two parents and two pre-teen girls - talk about different tastes. All were accommodated by the friendly staff. The restaurant setting does not make it easy for several groups of more than four - we were seated next to the entry on this chilly evening as we did not want to wait - thank goodness, the door did not open too frequently. Everybody was very pleased with the choice from the menu: the food was excellent, but as always, quality has its price.

We had a wonderful time with good food and good drinks. We had a table of at least 10. The staff was patient and friendly with us, even though members of the party straggled in at different times.

When I got bored, I wandered downstairs to the bar. The nice gentleman suggested a scotch whiskey. It was so good one of my companions went out and bought a bottle that very weekend!

Founding Farmers is known for local and organic ingredients and good service. I think it's a bit overrated because the preparation seemed ordinary and the prices high to me.

We went for brunch and had breakfast dishes so that may explain why it didn't seem special to me; there's only so much you can do with sausage, eggs, and french toast. The products were good but not great. Some items were not hot, but we had a large group so synchronizing is difficult.

Service was very good and kept us supplied with coffee and water.

Hi E1579RUpeterk,

Thank you for taking the time to write and submit your review. While we are proud to be farmer-owned and grateful for our popularity, we never want to give the impression that we are coasting on the coat-tails of our success. That being said, we are deeply sorry you felt your experience was overrated and that the food we served during brunch wasn't anything worth writing home about. Please know mediocre dishes are not hallmarks of Founding Farmers MoCo and are things our entire team takes seriously (especially our management team).

After reading your review, I made sure to forward it to one of our GM's so we can run quality checks on the dishes you described in your review. In order for them to tackle that task most effectively, would you mind sending the name/date/time of your reservation to ali@farmersrestaurantgroup.com? This information will help us dig a little deeper so we can get to the root of the issues you illuminated. I would also appreciate a chance to speak more with you, in hopes of working out a way to prove our true potential to you. I know we have what it takes to 'wow' you if given another shot! Thank you again for keeping us in the loop and I hope to hear from you soon.

Well Wishes,

Alexandra

We made reservations for last Sunday. When we showed up, we got seated right away. Our waitress was very pleasant. For our appetizer we had the honey cornbread and it was so good. For dinner I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoe and macaroni and cheese. It was the best I have ever had. The meals are homemade which you can tell. My husband had the fried chicken with biscuits and Mac n cheese. He was so happy with his meal also. Will definitely return. Our dessert was amazing as well. A butternut cake
