We are still on cloud nine after returning from a 3 day stay at Eastclose with 30 of our closest friends and family to celebrate Christmas and our wedding on boxing day.
As soon as we were shown around the venue in march this year - we knew it was right for us. Nothing was too much trouble and when we explained that we had family travelling long distances and would like to stay a few days it was suggested to us to stay here over Christmas and have a boxing day wedding. We had the hotel exclusively from Christmas eve night and were treated so well by all the staff. Christmas day lunch was an 8 course extravaganza!! and we had private use of the restaurant marquee extension which gave it such a private feel - everyone enjoyed the food and fast and efficient service. Despite having to work on Christmas day the staff were joyous and fun - Just goes to show that it is obviously a great place to work also..
Throughout the planning of our wedding - I have mostly dealt with Ellie who I can honestly say is a godsend! nothing was too much trouble and even though she was also tasked with sorting out our Christmas requirements she took this in her stride and communicated with me by email which was so much easier for me! Thank you Ellie!
During the day of the wedding we had Nicola who eased us through the order of the day and made it flow perfectly - Even when we were having trouble hooking my dress up she was on hand to help!! Again, Nicola obviously has a real passion for her job and has become a real professional and is a credit to Tim and his team at Eastclose.
The wedding breakfast was delicious, and all tables were served simultaneously which was really nice...I have been to many weddings and events whereby each table is on a different course!! the room looked beautiful.
I also have to mention how effortlessly beautiful the garden room is for a ceremony - It needs nothing to enhance it. Such a special place to say our vows.
Although we had such a large parry, and lots of different element to account for - check out was seamless and organised as everything had been prepared in advance - thank you again.
We were lucky enough to be in room 1 - the bridal suite. So so comfortable and luxurious, but we were also able to look in all the other rooms that were being used by our party and they were all just as luxurious in their own way.
Breakfast is high quality and plentiful. delicious!!
We really cant speak highly enough of this venue. As Travel Managers we are lucky enough to travel the world and stay in some top hotels, but this place will always be extra special to us and will always come highly recommended.
Well done Tim, Ellie, Nicola and the rest of the team , We will definitely be back.
