Great location. Food was above average and above average expensive. Service was good. Choices were average. Fresh oysters and the mussles were my favorites. The seafood platter was good but too much frying for my personal tastes. They have a good selection of IPA beers.

“BEAUTIFUL location!”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Views from every angle! Good food, service could have been better, we were seated outside and seem to have been forgotten. Actually had to find a server, then were not told about specials, which was disappointing because it was something I would have ordered.

“great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent services”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

Every single food we ordered were delicious. We had fresh dozen oysters, crab dip, burger, and jumbo fried shrimp. We enjoyed them all very much. We usually don't enjoy food when we go on vacations, however this restaurant has everything we could ask for.

We would definitely go back to this place when we go back for fishing.

This restaurant has the most spectacular views and amazing locals that give it a feeling of being at home. Add in a few world class IPA's and you just can't leave.

“Food was amazing, but still kinks to work out”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

Went to the Ruddy Duck Seafood and Alehouse on a Saturday night at 6:20. When we arrived the waiting area was empty but we were told without reservations it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait. Thankfully someone I assume was a manager said it would be closer to thirty to forty five, so we chose to wait. While we waited several other groups or couples came in and the hostess was back to telling people the wait was over an hour. I really think this restaurant is losing a lot of business this way because there were numerous openings in the bar section with no wait. The hostess did not even offer these tables to people. They were also not sitting anyone on the outside patio due to expecting two large parties. However the first didn’t arrive until eight and the second still hadn’t shown up when we left at eight thirty. In any case we were seated twenty minutes after arriving. The view was beautiful and visible from all tables. Was a little disappointed in the kids menu. The restaurant serves fried shrimp, clams, etc but no fried chicken fingers. Our table ordered steamed mussels, fried shrimp, and salmon. Everything came out perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. The overall restaurant was great but they need to work on training their hostess (waiters were great), the tables were very small, and even with the sound panels it was extremely loud. I am positive my family will be returning, but next time we will make a reservation and will go without children.
