“Elegant and romantic”
Reviewed August 5, 2013 via mobile

Stopped for dinner and stayed over night. Dinner was cooked to perfection; staff was very accomodating. The innkeepers were very personable, was able to tour the other rooms, each room was decorated exquisitely and very romantic. The breakfast homemade and delicious.

What a lovely surprise to have a private wine tasting once we had settled into our rooms. We had a lovely a stay. Our host was very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and a wonderful meal was made from my husband's catch. It's very definitely on our list of places to return to

We had only one night to take a break from a busy, urban life. We enjoyed the quiet of Oxford, the simplicity of the Inn and especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the innkeepers. Our room (the Choptank) was attractively furnished and our morning breakfast was more than ample. There are many places to visit for a night in the DC area but we look forward to returning to this one.

This quaint Inn was just what my wife and I needed after a very stressful trip to the east coast to drop our daughter off for her freshman year at college. The food, accommodations, bar, and overall atmosphere of the Oxford Inn was first class. We have traveled all over the country from Hawaii to Maine and this was one of the few places that I can honestly say when it was time to check out and go home we did not want to leave. Next time we will make time to stay a few more days.

My wife and I recently stayed at this inn for several nights. It was quite pleasant. Lisa and her husband made every effort to accomodate our needs. The location is convient to the town of Oxford. We ate several times at the restaurant in the Inn. The food and service were excellent. If staying in Oxford, we recommend both the inn and restaurant.

Based on the TA reviews, we were expecting a very nice place but things did not turn out that way. We stayed in the room called "Stuart Hall".

1- No TV in any of the rooms or the common room. You need to go to bar to watch TV. The town is very small and there isn't much to do. I recommend having a TV at least in the common room so guests can watch without having to sit at the bar.
2- There were only 3 hangers. After requesting 6 more we were given 3 more and told that these were all that was available at the B&B???
3- Only one bathrobe for 2 people.
4- Most rooms are on the 3rd floor. Difficult to go up with luggage.
5- There are only 2 bedside lights. It is too dark to do any work or read while sitting at the table.
6- The windows were very hard to close. The pull down curtain was torn in many places!
7- There in no office and it is hard to find anyone to ask questions.
8- I believe the price for the room ($143 with tax) is not justified.

The only thing we enjoyed was the breakfast.

Great location and, good food .Lovely owners although there was never anyone around .Room needs to have a redo as it was rather outdated. The price was rather high for off season as we where there in February of 2012. I would stay there again but not during tourist season.
