Great, varied menu with small or larger plates suit male, female appetites. Friends go there on a regular (weekly) basis.

Thanks so much for this kind review on Trip Advisor! Your review means so much to our business. The half entree option is often praised in the reviews we receive and we are proud of that option as well as the half dessert option. Generally people want to try new things but don't want to over indulge. We hope we will see you again on your next trip to Oxford!
Thanks again!

Wonderful atmosphere; had table by fireplace; really liked option of half--priced entrees for lighter meal. Very nice wine selection; cozy setting. A definite must when visiting Oxford, Easton, St. Michael's

Thanks so much for this wonderful review on Trip Advisor! Your review means so much to our business. Generally people want to try new things but don't want to over indulge. Your compliments regarding the atmosphere are also appreciated. Both dining areas offer a fireplace room making them very comfortable in the fall in winter months.

Latitude 38 is a special restaurant as you come into Oxford, and worth the drive off the beaten path. The dining room is bright and airy and the food is reliably very good with some unusual dishes. On the bar side you can order smaller servings of the same wonderful food, as well as a selection from the bar menu. Great atmosphere, and the murals throughout are gorgeous.

Ir was our last night on the Eastern Shore and we wanted to treat ourselves to something semi-special. Several people recommended Latitude 38 in the tiny town (village?) of Oxford, just down the highway from Easton.

The restaurant was warmly lit with a low key, comfortable dining room. A fire was blazing on the side and it was very welcome on this chilly evening.

I started with a caramel martini, a combination on kahlua, caramel syrup vodka and Bailey's. It was tasty and just the ticket to start a tasty meal.

Our entrees came with a salad and we were served a generous Ceasar and house salad. Delicious crispy lettuce, lots of grated parmesan, yummy dressings.

I ordered Rockfish (perfectly done on a bed of "Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Braised Baby Spinach Tossed with Brussels Sprouts and Zucchini") I would have liked the fish to be seasoned a little more but can't complain about the size of the portion or the aesthetics of the serving and the sides. The sweet potatoes, etc. were delicious.

My partner ordered the duck "On a Bed of Soba Noodles tossed with Sesame Roasted Maitake Mushrooms, Thai Basil, Baby Eggplant and Crispy Napa Cabbage". The duck was perfectly done, to his order, and the accompaniments were interesting and delicious.

The third person in our party had a half order of Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes Laced with a Savory Lemon and Bosc Pear Reduction Paired with Roasted Fondant Potatoes and Spaghetti Squash tossed with Cauliflower Florets which he declared to be delicious.

A nice feature was that all menu items could be half or full orders, priced accordingly.

The beautiful proprietress, Wendy, was a very good hostess. We had a new, very inexperienced waitress who didn't slip up in serving though she should be careful about remarks such as "we have such a huge wine list" when it was actually a very modest wine list. No matter, she was sweet.

Some noisy patrons at the bar could have been distracting and disturbing but they were so obviously having a great time that it was hard to be annoyed. When they left it was almost too quiet.

This is definitely one of the most worthwhile of the slightly pricey restaurants in the area. You get your money's worth and while not super gourmet, the food is tasty and aesthetic.

The very non-descript (actually, it looks like a gas station complete with a pump out front) belies the very cozy and great little restaurant inside. The food and service were very good. They offer half desserts which is a smart idea. My husband had the duck and I had the grilled quail appetizer which was plenty for a light dinner along with the cream of crab soup. I would highly recommend eating here if you find yourself in Oxford.
