It is hard to top the raves from other reviewers for the Combsbury, but our visit this past weekend merits a try. The Inn is very tastefully furnished. The furniture is traditional style, but still has a fresh, contemporary feel. The kitchen is bright and modern, the library has ample space to stretch out with papers and a laptop. The hi-speed wireless connection and available PC were both important for me. Almost all the rooms have a lovely view of the water.

The Magnolia room, where we stayed, is spectacular, from the large four poster bed to the Jacuzzi bath and sun deck. The breeze off the Bay and the blossoming magnolia near the room made the evenings comfortable and fragrant.

Every reviewer has mentioned Cathy and her gracious welcome took the visit from very special to memorable. Her breakfasts were superb, her dining and travel advice impeccable. She arranged an outstanding massage, sunset sail, visit to a gym and still had time to put our canoe in the water and bring it up from the dock. She was at once always helpful and discreet and respectful of our privacy. Her sentries, Skeeter and Annie, were an endless delight.

Did I mention that the Inn itself is among the beautiful buildings and landscapes on the Eastern Shore? I have stayed at B&Bs and small inns throughout the US and Europe. Combsbury was among my very favorites.

Dave and I and our babies Kasey,(Westie), Shelby and Tucker,(Scootties) enjoyed our stay very much and we highly recommend the Combsberry. The innkeeper Cathy and her babies Skeeter (welsch corgi) and Annie (Jack Russell) were the perfect hosts. The inn was beautiful, as were the public rooms and accomodations. The breakfast each morning was fantastic.
What a perfect getaway for a weekend. We will definitely be back.
Thank you for sharing the weekend with us Cathy,Annie and Skeeter. You are A+ in our book.

The Combsberry Inn is everything we could hope for: an elegant, gracious setting; a warm and considerate host; a convenient yet private location. We continue to bask in the reflected glow of this amazing place and can hardly wait to return. Cathy is remarkable, kind and thoughtful to her guests. The period house/mansion is absolutely beautiful and the water views are breathtaking. Thank you!

We went to this B&B for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We had planned to use it as a base for exploring Oxford, Easton and St. Michaels. The B&B was so nice that we ended up spending most of our time there instead of going out. The room we stayed in (The Magnolia) was huge and very nice. The house was beautiful. The property was astoundingly pretty and we spent almost every waking minute sitting in the Adirondack chairs enjoying the view and the breeze. It didn't hurt that we had perfect weather. The innkeeper was very helpful. She wasn't as invisible as innkeepers in other B&B's and that might bother some folks who want a lot of privacy, but we enjoyed her and her inn dogs. Perfectionists might be bothered by minor maintenance issues (one or two frayed blinds, a couple of spots that needed some touch up paint), but it was so beautiful that it didn't bother us. The innkeeper's breakfast was exceptional. We were reluctant to post a review because we'd hate this gem to become too popular, but it shouldn't be kept a secret. Highly recommended.
