The room was clean and well appointed, the staff were incredibly friendly. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. It's a great place to stay for business travel at an affordable price.

My experience of the Hilton Garden Inn chain is 'utilitarian'…they get the job done. When I'm choosing the hotel, I try and find somewhere a bit more interesting, in a slightly more exciting location - but for drive-in, drive-out work trips, they're fine.
This place had fun people working at reception and at the breakfast restaurant - that makes all the difference sometimes.
Evenings are always a bit quiet in the foyer of a Garden Inn…but you can grab some beers from the Pantry and sit by the fire or TV. Occasionally you get groups of infrequent travellers going a bit crazy on the Sam Adams.
One thing I don't get is these annoying air-adjustable beds...

we were visiting family in the area, and just stayed overnight. We were very pleased with the welcoming lobby, friendly staff, and our clean rooms with comfortable beds and a decent shower. Our plane landed at BWI at about 10 AM, and I called the hotel to see if they could put us in a room earlier than the regular check-in time. No problem at all.

Some of the staff was friendly some couldn't care less. The room was always clean and decent. The breakfast was good and complete. I wish there were more quality restaurants around because I gained 5 lbs in 5 days.

The best part is the friendliness of the staff. We were greeted everytime we passed through the lobby. Had cookies out when we arrived.

The rooms were clean and no signs of bedbugs as we always look before we settle in. The windows open if you like fresh air (we do). You can turn off the heater/blower if you want. Microwave and fridge in room.

The place looked well maintained. The bathrooms were like new and had Neutrogena products.

Breakfast was not included, but $12 pp, so we had cereal and bagels and juice in our room after running to a nearby grocery store (Food Lion). There was coffee in the lobby, which was good. (A coffee pot in room too, but I don't use those).

Our only issue was that the beds were very firm, which is not our preference. Also we prefer queen size beds over doubles, but all the other places had double beds too.

Given the choices in the area we would stay here again.
