This is a lovely historic house and museum. It is only open during the Oldtown Summer Fest, but at that time it is staffed by delightful, passionate volunteers in period dress. An important part of American history, the Cresap's blazed trails and fought in the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War. George Washington was a personal friend of Michael and most likely stayed at this house.

This house is all about the history of this area. It has displays about Indians, Colonials, American Revolutionaries, and much, much more. The C and O Canal National Park is near by as is the only privately owned toll bridge in America. There may be a fee, donations accepted gladly.
