My family and I went to Hunan L'Rose for Father's day.
It was busy but the staff was great. Our water and tea (which is free) was refilled at a reasonable time. We all had a cup of soup which comes with the fried strips (crispy and tasty).
The leftover strips are even great with the duck sauce.
We order the pupu platter for 2 ($14.50) which comes with egg rolls, fried shrimp, fried cheese wontons, B-Q ribs, and steak on a stick served on a rotating platter that has a heater in the middle to cook the steak more. This is great for 2 or 3 people and tasted great.
It would be fantastic if they could tailor the platter to the number of people in your party so everyone can sample each item.
For the mains, my son had the half serving of the Peking duck ($14) which is really good but they need time to prepare this (20 mins) so plan ahead. The duck comes with wrappers and onions.
My wife had the sweet and sour chicken with white rice. The chicken has the right amount of batter and the pineapple and veggies with it (peppers, carrots) are just the right size. I had the Moo Goo Gai Pan (chicken, water chestnuts, snowpeas in a white sauce, not spicy) which is very good.
At the end of meal, everyone gets a fortune cookie and orange sherbet (yummy) for free.
My family comes here often and we will continue to do so.
