Checked in on a Friday, labor day weekend with my fiance. Once we found out what room we were in, we politely requested if we could change to higher floor. The girl Melody (who we found out later is the manager) was rude to us for asking for a higher floor. We said no problem we will take what we have. We got to our room and there was mold on the ceiling & around the light switch. We went down to the desk and to let her know. She would not put us in another room and said we were just making that up to get the higher floor we wanted earlier. She started yelling on and called me "sister". Yes, I am a women of color but didn't appreciate being talked like that calling me a sister or as she said it "sista". This was not good customer service. Left a day early.

Let me start by saying the staff was wonderful. They were very kind and helpful-no complaint in that area. The location was good-walking distance to Fagers Island and Dead Freddys and of course the beach. However that is where it ends..... Mold mold mold!! Room 302 beware!! The cleaning ladies used bleach to try to control the mold and it made it smell horrible!! Mold on the ceiling-baseboard-tub-EVERYWHERE!! Not as clean as it should be either. The pool area is in need cleaning too. The soda machine at the pool area scocked ( electric shock) a 18 month little boy- the staff knew about the problem (from previous complaints) and did nothing about it. I will NOT stay here again.

The lobby is beautiful with its high ceilings, water feature and "stairs to no where".... but then you get on the unpolished elevator.... my husband actually tried to wash off the stans... it needs a good polish and can look much better. Next is the outside pool area..... need to a pressure washing and some new flower pots...... and chair cleaning.... but then it would be so much nicer. Also they should either close in the pool bar area or get rid of all the junk thrown back there.....As for the remainder of my review.... studio was a nice size with small kitchen area. Balcony are for "show" only.... no where to actually sit.... we would stay there again since the staff were very friendly, rooms were clean, great location on the bay... near Mackeys (best meal of the week), Fagler Island and Dead Freddies (best bar in town)....

The Coconut Malorie is a great place to stay for anyone. We stayed as a family and were very comfortable. Nice views of the bay and Fager's Island. Rooms are very nicely decorated and have kitchens with dishes and everything you need. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating. I would stay here again.

If you want to go to Ocean City, but want to avoid the hassle of the Boardwalk, stay here. Located on 59th Street, the beach is a short walk away. A great restaurant nearest close by and the bay is beautiful. The resort needs some fixing up, but overall it was a pleasant stay.
