“Affordable and Convenient”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

It isn't fancy, but has what you need at the beach. There are to buildings, and we were in the west bldg (closer to the bay). This had a very small pool with a beautiful bay view. This was perfect when we came back from the beach hot, and covered in sunscreen. We rinsed the sand off in the outdoor foot shower, then jumped in the pool, and felt really refreshed before we went back up to our room to shower.
There was a lot of noise and partying going on, but someone mut have complained, as we heard security knocking to get in. We were woken up around 3am with partying, screaming, and yelling, but the hotel relly can't control that.
The room was clean, with a nice shower (nowhere to hang bath towels), a balcony with two chairs, a refrigerator, microwave, and plenty of parking.
We called our first night because the bedside lamp wasn't working, and they were there within an hour to put in a new bulb.
Overall, we were happy with our accommodations.
Easy two blocks to the beach.

Room Tip: If you want to use the pool, choose the east bldg.

We stayed in a king bed room on the 4th floor of the west building. The view was great!! We could see the bay and a great view of the sunset. The bridge for 90 is close to the right and there is a road to the left that leads to Fagers Island so when they have the club crowd there is a good bit of activity to watch...nothing crazy though and the noise level is low.

The room itself was nice. No couch and only one chair at the table so we weren't left with much space to relax except sitting on the bed. The sheets are a green color and the towels are tan...they were clean (enough) but when in a hotel it's better to have white linens and towels so it's easier to tell they're clean.

The fridge worked well. We didn't use the microwave. Housekeeping only came once on a 3-night stay. They replaced towels but didn't remove dirty ones. There was no "privacy please" door hanger in the room but we actually found one on the floor of the elevator on our 3rd day.

Everyone else we met staying at the hotel was very nice. We didn't really ever interact with any staff. Parking was great! We never had a problem with finding a spot.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and are happy with our choice of this hotel. But, the next time we travel to the area we'll probably try out another hotel.

Room Tip: Worth getting a bayside view room on high floor!

We just reurned from a short stay in Ocean City MD. Once again we stayed at the Sea Bay Hotel. Once again we found it to be a perfect location and very well priced. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathrooms the same. The staff are all extremely friendly and courteous. Unfortunately we could only stay for a short time, but you can be sure next year we will return again. Thank you Sea Bay for making it a great though short stay.

Room Tip: We really enjoy the east buildng, though the west building has a great view of the bay.

I knew we were going to have a great vacation when I called the day prior and spoke to one of the ladies that worked at the front desk. After explaining that we were not familiar with the area and saying that we might arrive a little before check in time, we were advised that we could check in, get our parking pass and hang out at the pool if our room was not ready when we arrived. The pool is a bit small, but it was one of the cleanest pools I have ever seen at a beach resort. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful for our entire stay. Soon after checking in, we decided that we wanted to stay an additional day and learned that it is cheaper to call the hotel direct than booking on line with Expedia. Our room was a typical beach hotel room. Very clean. Our beds were very comfy... I even slept soundly the first night and I normally do not sleep well the first night I am away from home. We will definitely stay here again.

Very clean for the price. Pool was kept clean and clear. Bummer was the pool closed at 9pm. My kids like to swim at night. Also right on bus line. So you can ride the bus to the boardwalk and not have to worry about parking. A short walk to the beach.

Room Tip: We chose bay view and it was a beautiful view. Otherwise you are looking at the parking lot. Hotel...

We stayed at the Sea Bay for a week while participating in an event at the Covention Center. The Hotel is conveniently located - walking distance to the beach, some attractions and restaurants, just a few minutes drive to the Convention Center, and a short drive to the boardwalk area. The onsite cafe is nice and reasonably priced, too.

The hotel was clean and well maintained, with some age related wear and tear (not too much, though). Beds were adequate (a bit firm and bouncy), but most importantly, the bedding was clean and no signs of bed bugs or other such problems during our stay. Front Desk staff were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was showing its age, needing grout work and plumbing updates. Especially annoying was the fact that the toilet didn't flush correctly and the flapper valve leaked so the tank would fill in the middle of the night. Despite 3 visits by maintenance, they were unable to fix this annoying problem. We gave up after the 3rd attempt and just shut the water off at night so it wouldn't keep running. Hopefully, someone managed to fix this before the next guest.

Overall, not a bad place to stay if you're on a budget.

This was such a clean, accommodating hotel. We stayed on the Bayside where the view was fantastic. They have a wonderful café serving breakfast and lunch on the premise. Front desk staff were so helpful. Maps of the city were free. We would stay again.

Room Tip: Bay side has the best view.
