After spending 2 nights in a hotel using points, we decided to extend our stay in Ocean City for one more evening in this charming B&B. Hotel rates seemed very high, but we felt the Atlantic House rates were reasonable given their location and amenities. Josephine and Brian were very friendly and helpful. Since they weren't full during our stay, they allowed us to arrive early and stay late. The location was great - very close to boardwalk and beach. We stayed in the angel room which had a queen bed, daybed and small refrig. Everything was very clean. There was some street noise at night, but running the air conditioner helped drown it out. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We especially enjoyed Josephine's sticky buns, and she was kind enough to email the recipe to me later. After we checked out of our room, we spent the afternoon at the beach. It was very nice to be able to return and use their outdoor shower and towels before our drive home. Would highly recommend this B&B.

When planning our vacation to the East Coast from Washington State, we were looking for an experience unlike any here in the Northwest. We found Ocean City, Maryland with its famous Boardwalk and warm ocean waves to be a great place for a family with 3 teenagers!
Atlantic House is a quaint Bed & Breakfast in the midst of a busy city. It is neat, clean and charming, with a large front porch to people watch or play games on (provided by the B&B), and a hot tub to enjoy on the side deck. It is only a short walk to the famous Boardwalk and beach. All beach towels, chairs and boogie boards were provided, which was a definite plus, saving us money from having to buy or rent them there.
Brian and Josephine were the consummate host and hostess, seeing to our every need and making excellent recommendations for food and entertainment. This was very helpful to us, and every one of the food recommendations was spot on! We especially loved our dining experience at On the Bay where we tasted our first Maryand Blue Crab. Ice cream at Dumsers was a daily occurance, and we loved the french fries with vinegar at Thrashers, all recommended by Josephine.
Of course the breakfasts at Atlantic House were absolutely delicious! It was a peaceful and fulfilling way to start each day. Some of the lifeguards even start their day by eating the wonderful breakfast provided by Josephine and Brian.
Brian and Josephine went out of their way to accommodate our family of 5 with 3 teenagers - not an easy thing to do as we have found elsewhere!
Our daughter learned to surf at Malibus in Ocean City at the recommendation of Brian - they really know their stuff there, and our daughter had a great time.
Don't miss the ponies at Assateague, and the view from the Ferris wheel at the end of the boardwalk. Shenanigan's Pub is a great place to watch World Cup soccer, and we were there to see Spain win. The new restaurant, Da Lazy Lizard was fun as well, with a great view of the bay side of Ocean City.
There can be a bit of road noise, as it gets very busy during the summer, especially at night time. The Atlantic House does sit on a main thoroughfare, but at the same time, we had a fun time people watching out on the front porch. When it rained one day, that did not dampen our spirits as there was still plenty to do.
We would go to Atlantic House again, if given the chance. Thank you Brian and Josephine!

We were so happy with our stay at the Atlantic House that we booked another weekend in July. The owners were very accommodating with us arriving early and then with us leaving late on Sunday (they allowed us to use the beach chairs and towels all day and the outdoor shower to change). The breakfasts were delicious - hot egg dish, freshly made waffles, lots of fresh fruit and home baked sweets. The afternoon snack was fresh cold watermelon, which was perfect for a hot summer day, and the evening brought you freshly baked cookies. Yes, you had better walk a lot while here because there is plenty of food! The room was very comfortable, even had a small refrigerator. The only negative side was that our room faced the main street coming into town so there were outdoor lights on and some road noise. But there is a sound machine in the room and the second night we slept with no interruptions. The town has an 11 PM noise curfew so that helped. The owners were there when you needed them, but not overbearing. They had great recommendations for the area - where to eat, where to go, etc. We highly recommend the Atlantic House over any hotel

This was our first visit to Ocean City. We found the Atlantic House very easily and were promptly checked in. Brian and Josephine were very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions of activities and restaurants since we were not familiar with the area. The room was very nice and clean (the bathroom was a little small, but managable). We were very glad that we chose this B&B as it is only 1/2 a block from the boardwalk, yet very relaxing from the hussle and bussle of the area. The breakfast was always very tasty with a nice selection of fresh fruit, baked goods, and hot breakfast items. It was buffet style which was nice because there was no waiting for your food like some other b&b's we have stayed at. The parking is just around the block, very close. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and would definately stay here again if we return to ocean city!

I had to come do a review of this little Gem in Ocean City. I stayed there last september by myself on a little retreat from work. I was only planning on staying a night there but after meeting Brian and Josephine and experiencing their hospitality, my stay was extended another night.

What I loved is pretty much everything about this place. The room was tidy and didnt have that starched feel that you get at so many hotels. It fealt like a room that i would set up in my own home, if i actually lived on the ocean. The bed had me sleeping in no time.. what is that stuff.. memory foam or something magical! i slepped like a baby. I really didnt want to leave but alas, we all have to get back to work sometime.

I have read through most of the other reviews here so i dont want to sound redundant. Bottom line, you will love this B&B. There's no need to shop around for another in OC.

Great rooms and the atmosphere is very cozy and quaint. The building has a real old Victorian charm to it. Highly recommended for couples and not recommended for anyone traveling with children. Each room is its own oasis from the hussle and bussle of the ocean.
