My husband planned a One Year Anniversary trip for us to travel up the east coast. We got in close to 1am, but that didn't change our disposition. Dom, the housekeeper, was nice to wait up till we got there and showed us everything. We had one of the two beds on the first floor, which led straight out to the porch. We had never stayed in a B&B before, so this place was a first and we had no expectations going in. I walk in and a quaint, clean, cottage style bedroom is is precise order, along with a TV in the corner. The mattress was comfy. Since we were right on the ocean, we decided to leave the doors cracked open to let the ocean air come through. Wonderful sound to wake up to, as well.

We had been traveling all day, so when I walked into the bathroom and discovered a jetted tub, I about screamed. This was one of the greatest things I'd experienced on my one night stay. They even had robes for us to wrap up in.

The breakfast the next morning was wonderful. WARM chocolate chip coffee cake, fresh fruit, and their own version of an egg mcmuffin was on the menu and it was delightful. The mcmuffin thing did have ham on it, so if you're a vegetarian or don't eat red meat, I would ask before it's served if you can have it off. After breakfast, we took our coffee out to the porch and planned our day.

Suffice it to say we will be staying here sometime in the future!

Dom, our Innkeeper is a great find. He has been with us for less than a year, yet treats the Inn like it is his own home. He takes pride in the house and tries to make each guest feel at home. The Veranda Room's location on the first floor with its direct access to the front porch and beautiful view of the Ocean makes it a popular choice. As you said it is very nice to be able to smell and hear the waves crash from your room.

So glad you agree in our choice of mattresses. Before buying, I asked Charlie to do a test drive and then asked 5 friends to visit the store and test the mattresses we had selected. Everyone picked the same mattress. People often comment on the great nights sleep they got. Inn on the Ocean has the "perfect sleeper."

Please come again and share your experience with family and friends.

Visited the Inn during Thanksgiving weekend in 2013 and had a great time. The Inn was cozy and convenient though the room was a little chilly at night. It was cold outside but the beach was nice to walk along and all the venues were easy to access because it was off season. Lots of low key things to do--wild horses, historic towns, shopping and dining.

Breakfast was great and the proprietors were great!

Thank you for visiting with us during the off season. As you noted, the winter time at the beach can be blustery and cold. We hope that the down comforter, the plush bathrobe and the hot Jacuzzi bath nice to help chase the chill away. While the winter months are quiet, Ocean City still has lots to do and see. Glad that you enjoyed the Assateague ponies, strolls on the boardwalk and Thanksgiving at the Beach!

Do try to return when the warm breezes blow, we are certain that you will find the Veranda Room to be even more inviting.

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend. The inn is beautiful, right on the beach. The innkeepers are wonderful and friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was deliciously filling. We will definitely be back as soon as my husbands schedule allows.

We agree that the Inn on the Ocean is the "Best Choice On the Boardwalk." As Maryland's only Oceanfront Bed & Breakfast, we try to accommodate all special dietary needs. We do our best to provide Gluten free options, Vegetarian entrees, Lactose free and even those who are just picky about what they eat. Thank you for the 5 star review. Please come and see us again, we enjoyed having you.

We stayed two nights over Veteran’s Day weekend 2013. The Inn is very attractive, inside and out. It is located directly on the boardwalk just off the beach. Easy walking to everything. Free bicycles. The hosts were especially attentive to our needs with suggestions for dinner and lots of local lore. The meals were wonderful – freshly prepared and very tasty. The room we had, The Veranda, was well appointed with a private bath with Jacuzzi. We are experienced B&Bers and are already planning a return trip to this exceptional property.

Room Tip: The Veranda is on the ground floor with a private entrance to the porch which fronts the boardwalk. Might be a little noisy in the high season.

This B&B is the only one of its kind, situated on the boardwalk of Ocean City. The staff was highly accommodating especially in regards to food allergies. The top floor suite was clean and spacious and the private balcony was a nice touch. The inn itself is stationed far enough away from attractions, so it's pretty quiet.
