The Inn has everything you could want on a beach vacation, neatly packed away in a cozy, clean house. At first I was wary of the price when hotels on the boardwalk go for pretty cheap, but it is well worth the cost. The Inn provides bikes, towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, and a number of kitchen amenities--fridge, microwave, coffee, sweets at night, water, etc. Did I mention that the beach is steps away?
The best part of this place is the huge porch and deck area adjacent to the boardwalk. We and many other guests (there are only 6 guest rooms) spent our mornings and evenings sipping coffee and wine, respectively on the deck and doing some very entertaining people watching.
Breakfast is served on the deck on nice days and it will definitely exceed your expectations...we were full until late afternoon each day.
The owners were very welcoming. It was my birthday and they accommodated some very picky requests ahead of time from my mother who wanted to have treats, wine and flowers left in the room for when my boyfriend and i arrived. Vicki was very sweet and everything was set up perfectly. She also accommodated several special birthday requests by my boyfriend, including leaving plates and candles out for a late night cake feast.
The only minor downfall of this place is the noise, which is of course the cost of staying at a place close to all of the restaurants, bars and other fun things you might like to do. We drowned out the noise from the nearby "Hammerheads" at night with a fan, but the party lasts until the wee hours of the morning. The owner did make a point to request they turned down the music at one point during the day, so it did not go overlooked...there is only so much they can do. In the daytime it is not oppressive at all--I managed to enjoy several naps on the desk regardless. One last thing, we stayed in the hunt room---the bathroom was very tiny. Manageable for a two-night stay, certainly, but more much longer it would get very cramped. Other rooms have larger bathrooms so look into that.
