We went to Fager's Island for my birthday, I must say it was such a disappointment. This bar has a ridiculous policy of removing all bar stools whether you are sitting in them or not. We were asked to get out of our seats because they were removing all of the bar stools, I thought that was very rude! We have been to many places in many states and some places do remove stools/chairs if they are not being used, we have never been asked to get out our seats because they were taking them.

We ended up leaving after our seats were taken, it ruined our evening. If you don't like a heavily crowded bar scene, this is not the place for you.

We will not plan to visit Fager's Island again.

“Just an OK experience”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

This really seems to be more of a spot for 40+ year olds. We (30 & 35) had just an ok time. The music was pretty horrible, all ancient music from the 80s, nothing current, nothing with a beat. Cover charge + drinks add up fast. Staff are rude and unwelcoming. Great views of the bay though.

If you're white and 45, love wearing Dockers and Sperry's and reminiscing about the fun times you had in high school back in 1985 then this is the place for you. If you're younger, like a good mix of people (a few people of color) and a good mix of music, then I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

“Great place to enjoy a night out”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

Fager's Island is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. I have been coming here for years and enjoy the outdoor seating as well as the choice of bands. The drinks are good as is the crowd. The service was good and the overall atmosphere is enjoyable.

“$9 drinks are worth it”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

This was the most fun we had on vacation. Awesome music and delicious drinks.
Watch the bartenders make your drink -- they know what they're doing. Oranges are freshly squeezed in "The Mang". They are loaded with alcohol too - but you can't even tell. There wasn't a cover charge, and it wasn't terribly packed. Once you're inside, there is a fire pit or two scattered around palm trees and sand outside. Tables are tucked away so you can sit away from the action and have a conversation away from the music. I'd rather be prepared to pay $9 for drinks and have fun at a scenic place like Fagers, than fight my way through crowds after standing in line at Seacrets Jamaica.

Been going here for years. Fun bay side place with great sunsets It is always a bit busy for dinner, but not bad on a Tuesday nite. Hung out at the back deck and ate off the bar menu. Spiced shrimp appetizer was nice. Had the fish taco's which were good. My son had the salmon and bacon sandwich - very tasty.

The best part is watching the sun set. Even on a cloudy evening, it was still a pretty spectacular. view at the end. And playing the 1812 Overture adds to the fun!
