Description: "...little slice of Paradise here in Ocean City, Maryland! Overlooking the Bay at 21st street, Fish Tales, located in Bahia Marina, used to be just a locals hideout. Throughout the years the "word" has spread about this treasure-on-the-bay! Still keeping its quaint, relaxed feel, Fish Tales has grown immensely since its doors opened in 1983. Whether you come by boat, car or bike, we have parking for all means of transportation. In addition to our original "Old Bar," we have added the "Boat Bar" and an outdoor beach area to meet your dining and cocktail needs. If you choose to sit on the beach, you can enjoy an umbrella-shaded table during the day or tiki torches by night. To satisfy your taste buds, we offer a wide selection of lite fare, full entrees and kids' meals, in addition to our eclectic daily specials. Swing by the bar and grab your favorite beverage, whether frozen, mixed or out of the tap; we have it all! We even offer some of our own personal favorites, such as Orange Crushes. These are complemented by our Happy Hour specials. So sit back and enjoy your libation in our two sets of Sky Chair lounges!"

We actually dined here twice in one week for dinner due to our first experience being well. We have a smaller child we have to think of when going out to dinner, therefore based on the reviews and the website alone we decided to check out OC Fish Tales.
Be prepared, this place is crowded, and you will most likely wait for a table. However, the wait is cushioned by the nice view of the bayside water front, and the available seating in the sand next to the kiddie castle children are playing around. Each bar offers a nice selection of beers and cocktails, and the bartenders were quick to take my order each time despite how busy they are.
Food was better than average each time, and was relatively quick considering how busy the restaurant is. First visit we ordered the Thai Shrimp for an appetizer, and although they weren't memorable, I would say they were tasty. For the entree I ordered the crab flatbred, while others in my party ordered a kiddie cheese burger with smiley french fries, and a chicken black bean quesadilla. Each and every item of food tasted good, and is worth mentioning.
Second visit, we ordered similarly with the exception of the seafood burrito, which I found quite tasty albeit a little on the small side, and slightly watery. However, I would consider ordering it again.
Only downfalls are; there are many kids running around the childrens area of many different ages. If you have a small child and allow them to play, you had better keep a close eye on them, rather than your beer/adult beverage of choice.
Second, the dock around the entrance/exit of the restaurant has open railing, with about 10 feet between each pole. This means, a small child, if not watched carefully could fall into the water, fairly easily. I would really like to see OC Fish Tales put up some type of railing or safety ropes along the border of the water.

Great spot and very family friendly. A tiki bar type place on the bay with sand on the floor, hammocks, bar games for adults and a pirate ship play area for the kids. The service is always good and the food is great - we love the shrimp salad wrap. They make a mean Rum Runner - but be careful of the "turbo" straw as it will give you a shock to the system! Its great for lunch - but as with everywhere thats family friendly in OC, for dinner it gets busy - so if you have the kids get there nice and early for a comfortable seat and get the kids settled. Then the adults can relax with a drink. This is a regular haunt for us and is a great place to visit.

I always look forward to my visit to FishTales and lunch was lovely until the bill & the new 2 % surcharge added to the bill. Our server explain there was the 2% charge but failed to explain why??? So charging back the cost percentage imposed by banks/ cc companies to your customers is an interesting business choice. Today, this policy effected your server and her tip and influence future visits to FishTales...sad

Went here about 7:30pm on a Monday. The place is awesome with nice views all around and a very nice setup. Tropical feel and the kids loved the play ship. The sunset over the bay was amazing. The menu has some variety and the food was above average. The waitress seemed like she had too man tables and always seemed rushed and forgot about us a few times. Would go back for the views, atmosphere and outside eating.
