Fager's Island sunsets are amazing, so we decided to try and stay within walking distance for our week at the beach. Our room at the Edge, #9, was even prettier than it looked online. Things started out a bit rocky, with some difficulty with the new key card system - but management couldn't have been more gracious handling the inconvenience. Everything mentioned previously - the nightly turndown service with candles lit and chocolates on the pillow...a tasty continental breakfast...a never ending supply of fluffy towels and the softest pillows and bed made it a perfect romantic getaway. We were able to relax by the pool with full view of the bay and an easy walk over the bridge to Fager's Island. Drinks on our personal deck - and the surprise of holiday fireworks...if you want an adult getaway in OC, MD with the amenities of the finest hotels then the Edge is where you need to be. We are planning to book next year's vacation before we leave.

Room Tip: Haven't seen the other rooms, but #9 is ultimately private, with a heart shaped jacuzzi overlook...

Every night, the staff turned down our bed, put soft music on, dimmed the lights and candles we on.......We would come back to the room, and it was so nice!!
Quality was top notch. It was relaxing, and quiet in our room.
The pool was great, and the heart shaped hot tub was relaxing too!
I will defiantly come back to this hotel.....our experience was excellent.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Riviera Room, view of bay felt like we stayed on the water.

What you get for your money: An amazing view with stunning sunsets, waterfront hotel, stunning rooms, great attention to details (plenty of pillows, high end towels & toiletries, etc.), Starbucks coffee in the room, minibar stocked with complimentary water and soda, continental breakfast delivered to your room, newspaper in the AM, peace and quiet, thoughtful and attentive service. The restaurant is a 1 minute walk and is outstanding (try the crabcakes).

Granted it's not perfect: The fireplace was fake electric (at least in our room), the front desk closes at 10 (at least in the off season), the driveway is stone...but these are trivial in the overall scheme of things. You could pay a lot more for beachfront at a lower end hotel and I'm sure you would have a lot more to complain about.

This is a couples hotel in my opinion and they do a great job catering to this clientele.

I stayed at the Edge in November 2011 in the Oriental Express and absolutely loved it. We have another tripped planned for March 2013 in which we will be staying in the Hang 5 penthouse. I have seen some people place some bad reviews and find it hard to believe their experiences. All staff members have always been delightful to speak with and I've called several time with multiple questions and they are always pleasant and answer all my questions. This has been one of the cleanest facilities we have stayed at. During our stay in November we stayed for 4 nights. Every night when we came back to the room it was so nice to be met with all of our candles lite to sit back and relax in front of the fireplace. I love this place and plan on making more visits back until we stay in all of the rooms. Thank you Mary for always be a delightful person to speak with.

Room Tip: All are beautiful You couldn't go wrong with any of the rooms.

My fourth trip back to the Edge, this time in the Bali room. The relaxing views of the bay, and the "oasis" feeling in the midst of the Ocean City " roar" is just what I wanted. Stay here, and walk to Fager;s if you get hungry, and you can avoid the crowds and traffic. Featherbed and comfortable sofa, everything you might need. The complaints about ants and such seem totally unfounded - no problems - no ants. Seems like soneone conplained too much! Staff very helpful and attentive. The evening turndown with chocolates and candles, and a breakfast foods each morning add to the ability to tuck in and relax.

Will be back again next year - wouldn't chose anywhere else in Ocean City!

Room Tip: The Bali is a bit smnaller, not two levels, but great views.

We stayed in #3, the suite called Bliss. The view of the bay is stunning. The decor, the large rooms, the bathroom, were all luxurious. We enjoyed the balcony. Every staff person we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. Upon checking in, we were handed peach sangria and were told that homemade chocolate chip cookies are put out in the great room every afternoon - delicious. Everything was top-notch... except the air conditioning unit. It was more like one we'd encounter at the Holiday Inn Express - buzzing on and off all night, waking us up. And the bed was soft, too soft, we thought. Not a great night's sleep either of the two nights we were there. Still, a good choice for a luxury hotel if the a/c and bed aren't an issue for you.

This was a very nice relaxing weekend. As the parents of 2 young kids it was much needed! We stayed at the Lighthouse for our honeymoon 8 years ago and this time we stayed at the Edge.We stayed in the #9 and the view of the bay was amazing. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our continental breakfast and coffee on the balcony overlooking the bay. We had an excellent dinner at Fager's Island, courtesy of reservations made at the front desk. Seacrets and Macky's are within walking distance. The only suggestion I have is to extend the room service hours. We were surprised that the latest we could order room service was 8:45PM while the restaurant is open much later. We will definitely be back!
