Description: real food * from scratch We believe that great food and healthful ingredients are not mutually exclusive of each other. We buy organic produce from local farmers and seafood from the commercial fishing harbor right outside our restaurant. We feature all natural products - steering clear of preservatives and antibiotics. Whole grains and whole foods are used in the preparation of our menu - which our chefs write twice daily, based on what's fresh, available and delicious. Fresh. Local. Organic. Taste the difference.

A cozy restaurant which offers interesting takes on old favorites. Reservations are definitely a must during "in season". We were able to get a late evening reservation for two, and were pleased to see that the resturant offered small plates. We thoroughly enjoyed the Shark Bites which were blackened and drizzled with a slightly sweet and spicy sauce. We had the tossed greens salad which had a delicious buttermilk dressing on it in just the right amount. Our absolute favorite though was the cheesesteak on steamed buns. This wasn't your ordinary cheesesteak. This was filet with rich caramelized onions on a delightfully light, tender steamed bun. They also offer a nice selection of microbrews from the area which can be purchased in 4 oz sample sizes. We finished dinner off with a luscious sundae made with mocha and french vanilla ice cream drizzled with a miso caramel. We were in gastro-heaven! Our server was very friendly, and willing to make recommendations. Highly recommend this place. The restaurant is on the small side so plan ahead and make
a reservation.

This was our first time going to the Shark. We had an amazing dinner for 12. Everyone raved about their meal and it was by far the best we had in OC! Everything was so fresh and cooked perfectly! The service was amazing! This will be a must now every time we come to OC!

Top rating on tripadvisor was justified. So glad we made the trip out to West Ocean City. A rain-filled Tuesday evening and we were lucky to get an 8:45 reservation. Happily we were seated early, because our mouths were watering just looking over that night's menu. The PEI mussels and sausage appetizer was plentiful for two and delicious. The Tilefish entrée with cheese grits and fried green tomatoes complimented each other masterfully and the local crab cakes held together with a shrimp mousse were outstanding. The berry crème brulee was the perfect ending to a fantastic dinner. Service was excellent and the big screen flick showing sea turtles, crabs and other sea life just added to the ambiance of this place. Don't miss this one!!

an upscale restaurant with polished waiters....they go over every aspect of the meal you are about to ENJOY!

A reservation is advised and ask for a window seat.....

Everything is super delicious......
They have a very unique menu and the food is plated so nice.....

So let's talk about the food.....

My husband had the crab cakes....so much lump crab meat (two crab cakes) with a side of rice, seasoned perfectly.......have to mention the crab cakes were filled with shrimp mousse and a side of crispy corn bread...so good!

I had the filet mignon, cooked just right with lobster mashed potatoes.......unbelievable!

and I have to mention...they start you off with toasted bread, creamy butter and a cheese spread....so tasty!

After enjoying our dinner, the waitress told has about the specials they have for lunch......

so let me tell you what we had for lunch the following day.....

We ordered two dishes and shared.......fish tacos (tacos were shaped like a bowl) filled with
tasty fish, shredded cheese and a shredded cabbage medley of veggies ,topped with a tasty sauce.

the other dish was a whole wheat, thin veggie pizza , creamy cheese, also with a tangy delicious sauce.....a perfect lunch! The specials were $5.99 each.

but we topped it off (shared) with a sundae....one scoop of vanilla, one scoop of mocha (locally made) topped off with pecans, whipped cream and drizzled with caramel sauce......I think that says it all!

Enjoy!!!
Hope Lindsay waits on you....she was so nice.

I would like to tell you that this meal was outstanding...but I can't. We NEVER got to order.

We decided last minute to try this place based upon the Trip Advisor reviews but didn't have reservations. Wait time 90
Minutes plus! Work around, order at the bar and sit outside overlooking the canal. Very pretty. Great setting.
Here's the rub... The bartender never acknowledged us to take our drink or food order. After about 10 minutes we thought we were invisible so we left. Too bad, the menu looked good.

Morale of the story if you have reservations go and enjoy. If not, go somewhere else unless you are wearing a cow bell. Maybe the bartenders will hear you if they can't see you!!
