“Wonderful food!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

Discovered this gem last summer, so had breakfast here, twice, this year. The food is a lot cheaper than some other places near our hotel, the Eden Roc. The servers are always nice and very accomodating. My bestie wanted whole wheat bread for the french toast, and it was no problem.

“Good food, Lots of Healthy Choices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

Our daughter recommended that we have lunch at Malia’s Café. She and her friends work in OC for the summer and eat at Malia’s often.

Malia’s is located on the ground floor, under the Spinnaker Motel. They have outdoor seating with an ocean view.

Our daughter ordered the veggie melt on whole grain bread. The melt included roasted red peppers, mushrooms, avocado, and Munster cheese.

My wife had the cream of asparagus soup with a cold salad. The salad had artichokes, black olives, sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, and onions. The soup was outstanding and she loved all of the items in the salad.

I ordered the veggie roll-up with hummus, black beans, corn, avocado, onions, and cheese. Tortilla chips with salsa and sour cream came with the wrap.

Everything was excellent. In fact, it was so good; we came back for breakfast two days later.

For breakfast, I ordered the breakfast burrito and potatoes, with tortilla chips and salsa on the side.

My wife ordered eggs over easy (her favorite) with potatoes and veggie sausage.

Our daughter got scrambled eggs and potatoes, with turkey sausage.

We were all extremely pleased with our breakfasts.

Malia’s has so many healthy choices. The food is very fresh and tasty. You can sense that the staff at Malia’s puts a lot of effort into preparing and serving the food. For both breakfast and lunch, they have specials listed on the board as you enter the café.

We are looking forward to our next visit to the beach, so we can eat at Malia’s again.

“Nice restaurant for meals”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

This restaurant was attached to the motel where we stayed. We had lunch there one day - the food was tasty and quantity adequate. After a long morning at the beach we were lazy to go down, and they delivered to the room. I used to get my morning coffees here as well. They are not open for dinner, so we had to go out for dinner. (Opening it up for dinner would have been a nice addition, and I could have got my evening coffee here as well). They also serve a nice breakfast, but did not get a chance to taste it.
Coffee is $2 and lunch for 2 adult and one child was $23.50

“Good food, Generous portions, Friendly staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2013

This cafe is a great way to start the day! The environment is pristine clean and this includes the bathroom. The food is personally prepared by Malia and she knows how to cook. She gave us exactly what we ordered in the way we ordered it. The portions were more than generous and we left feeling totally satisfied. The friendly staff is welcoming and helpful in describing menu items. This place is a definite "do again"!

“Neat little place.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

Malias is connected to the Spinnaker Motel and was very handy to our room. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. I had 2 Pancakes and Scrapple and the cakes where the size of the plate they came on. I can eat and I was satisfied when we left and glad I didn't order 3. They're only open for Breakfast and Lunch but well worth the stop. Only steps from the boardwalk and out of the crowd for a meal. We'll be having our Breakfast there when we're in OC.
