Thanks for sharing your comments about your "Girls' Beach Vacay". We hope that you and your friends will visit with us again.
The hotel was nice and found that there was plenty of parking for guests. I was a little upset that the private balcony faced the road. In the pictures it was a little misleading, it looked as if you had a good view of the water. You still got a good view of the water but it was from the front door and you could not sit out and enjoy the view there given all the rooms ac vents were in the walkway plus other guests would need to walk by. I did know that it was not oceanfront. The rooms were nice for the price and had plenty of room for a family of 5. It was a very short walk to the beach which was nice with the kids. The game was nice but there was no AC or it was broken. It was very hot, too hot to enjoy being in the room to play. There was also no ac in the hallways to outdoor front room doors so it was very hot walking to the stairs or elevators. Overall the hotel was nice and a good location.
I appreciated your very accurate description of the location of the suites. We constantly try to communicate that we are Oceanside (not oceanfront) and the balconies face Coastal Highway. You were fortunate that the living room of your suite faced toward the ocean but not all living rooms have a view. Also, as you point out, the suites offer considerable space compared to a room that is comparable in prce.

I booked this place on a whim last minute, and was very pleasantly surprised. Rooms were in great condition, and most importantly, the beds, restrooms, and common spaces were all very clean. I booked three rooms, and the hotel placed us all together on the top floor with adjacent rooms. Made for an awesome extended family vacation.
Family vacations are important and we are glad that yours was "awesome". Our double/double suites are located for the most part on the second, third, and fourth floors. Our king suites are on the top/fifth floor. If we know the suites are family or friends, we do everything possible to make sure they are roomed near each other. Please visit with us again next year.

We made a last-minute decision to go to OCMD for a long weekend. Cayman Suites is in the area where we prefer to stay (125th Street) and the rate was reasonable, especially given that the property across the street where we have stayed on multiple occasions was almost $200 more for a smaller room.
We arrived early, and while our room wasn't ready, the front desk staff called us when the room was available.
The suite was clean. King mattress was a little too hard for my liking, but it was adequate. There is a sofa bed in the living room area which was a little too small for both of our girls (16 and 12) but we took an air mattress which took care of that problem.
There is an elevator, which is large, but it is slow.
The pool is covered which is a plus. It is small compared to other properties, so if that matters a lot to you, you might look elsewhere.
It is a quick stroll to the beach (it's on the ocean side of Coastal Hwy) - a definite plus! Parking is covered, and in the summer months, that is a great thing.
I definitely recommend the Cayman Suites.
Stayed for 2 nights with some buddies on a motorcycle trip on July 14-15. This would be a great hotel to spend a week at. The rooms are huge suites with living room and kitchenette area. The couch has a pullout bed too. It is a bit dated looking though. There are good restaurants close by but it is pretty far from the boardwalk (80 blocks to the northernmost part). 2 blocks from the beach on the beach side of the Coastal Highway. Good cold A/C in both rooms of the suite. The staff and management were very helpful when we asked to stay an extra night due to on in our group having a motorcycle accident and needing a day to rest. They found a way to make it happen. They also accommodated our injured friend and allowed him to stay late in the room as he was waiting for his family to arrive and pick him up. There's not much parking but there were always spaces available.
We stayed here for 3 nights mid week July. Its an older hotel, with 2 room suites. Suites look updated except for the bathroom. The great thing about this place is its on the ocean side of Coastal Highway, so its an easy safe walk to the beach, as O.C.is very crowded and traffic is flowing quickly along the Coastal route. Management was very accommodating, allowing us to use their facility and parking lot to leave our car and get to the beach on the first day before our room was ready, and again on check out day so we could enjoy the beach longer. Its nothing fancy but great place for a beach trip. Beach was very nice, water was clear and warm and everyone was friendly on the beach. We only moved our car one time to get to Assateague Island, which was well worth the short trip. Other than that you can walk or get the bus for $1 each person one way to get to the boardwalk or other restaurants. Bus runs directly outside the hotel. Their are also many restaurants and mini golf , and a lovely park very close by. I think its a good value for summer in Ocean City and we traveled with a 9 yr. old child. It did have an arcade room and a small indoor pool.
Thanks for your positive review! When guests arrive early for check-in, we usually hand out the parking permit, offer two beach chairs and two towels to use at the beach, and give directions to restrooms for changing. We call guests if their room is ready before the 3pm check-in time. We look forward to having you visit with us again.
