Just returned from a four night stay at the Holiday Inn at 66th Street in Ocean City, Maryland. We loved this hotel. It was directly on the ocean with an indoor pool, outdoor pool, swim up bar, three restaurants, gameroom, exercise room, tennis courts and shuffleboard. Really everything you could ask for. It also had two restaurants indoors and a nice poolside restaurant outdoors. There was also a swim up bar at the pool which we made good use of! Even the kids enjoyed swimming up to order Shirley Temples.

We didn't get a chance to eat at the fancy restaurant (Reflections) but we did eat at the other two and the food was very good. The best part was that our three kids ate for free! There was also a full kitchen in the room which saved us some money making breakfast, lunch and snacks when we felt like it.

The hotel itself is not brand new but it was clean and the front desk was very helpful and polite.

We had a direct oceanfront room with a balcony, 2 double beds and a pull out couch. Plenty of room for two adults and three kids. There was also a nice flat screen t.v. with a dvd player.

We definitely enjoyed our stay and would stay again. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Ocean Front Ocean City at 6600 Coastal Highway and 66th Street. This is different hotel from the one on the boardwalk.

We checked in on August 10, 2007 and checked out on August 12, 2007. We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 children, one 12 and one 6). We had asked for a non-smoking ocean front room and we got a very nice room on the 4 floor of the 8 storey building facing the ocean overlooking the outdoor pool and the tennis courts.

While the check-in time is 3:00 PM, we arrived at 2:00 PM and had to wait for a room. In the meantime we were free to use both the outdoor and indoor swimming pools. We got a room at 2:30 PM. The room was of reasonable size with a large balcony, clean with a small fully stocked kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, plates and cookware. We were provided discount coupons on check-in to the grill at the outdoor pool and for dinner at the Reflections restaurant.

The hotel is on the beach, which is broad and clean with a lifeguard station right opposite the hotel. They also have a kids club where they do activities from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and then they show kids movies from 7:00 PM. You need to sign-up for these at the front desk in advance.

The hotel though dated in parts is clean and very functional. The staff is also very helpful. We had carried our DVD player but that could not be hooked up to the TV in the room, which however had a VCR attached to the TV. They also have VHS movies available at the front desk for free. There is a good grocery store about a block south of the hotel on the opposite side of the highway. In the same strip mall they also have a video store which sells VHS movies for $ 2.00.

I had initially booked for three nights and prepaid the first night when I made my booking. Due to an urgent appointment on the third day, I had to check out a day earlier. The hotel charged me for the three nights, but they said if I could fax them documentation to show the nature of the urgency they would credit the third night back. The hotel kept its word. Once I faxed them some paperwork they credited the charges back.

We really enjoyed our stay and will surely stay again.

My husband and I went for a short weekend trip in August. We arrived on Friday at 1:00 and our room was ready. The room did smell pretty bad. I think it was the carpet which was very old. We had an East Oceanview room which was nice. We could see the beach directly and the pool.

Besides the rug the room was worn but I thought clean. We decided to stay another night and they no longer had the same room. They upgraded us to a direct ocean view room for the same price. These rooms are all remodeled and much nicer. The set up was the same but the rug was clean and the appliances were new. I would book these rooms first off the next time. I understand they are remodeling the rooms a few at a time instead of a whole floor.

The pool was small but they had a swim up bar which we used. Overall they were very accomodating. The location is great but they really need to redo all the rooms for the price you pay.

Just returned from the Holiday inn Oceanfront. I thought the hotel was clean, great service, and excellent location. Guests were mixed, young, middle aged & older. Great faciliities for the kids and adults. Also the hotel has one of the only 4 star restaurants on the island called reflections. A llitle pricey but good. Shuttle to take you to the boardwalk for $2 each, better than driving because of traffic & parking. you can't go wrong here for a hotel at this level.

Just returned on the 27th. We had a great experience. Love the location, far enough from the boardwalk to escape the madness, but close enough to get down there easily. The pool was great with the swim up bar and hammocks to relax on. The crowd was mostly families and some college kids. The beach is right down the path. Life guards were right there on duty (and saved a few people from riptides). The hotel looks a bit dated. It could use some updating, however we would stay there again for sure. The staff was constantly cleaning and fixing and the room was always made up spotlessly. We brought breakfast food and lots of drinks, the kitchenet was small but served it's purpose. We were there with our 2 teenage boys and they had a great time. They spent two evenings at the H20 club on the boardwalk for under 21's and LOVED IT. Husband and I walked across the street to Castaways bar for happy hour - 1/2 price crab leggs and raw bar and cheap drinks - good crowd. There was also a small food market across the street. Had an upscale dinner at Frescos - WONDERFUL. Down the road going north on the opposite side of the street about 5 to 10 minutes. KO

Although the hotel isn't the newest property in the world, the room was nice; the view was wonderful. The hotel is L shaped, with one part of the L running parallel to the beach and the other perpendicular to it. Our room was a two bed efficiency on the seventh floor of this eight story property; we had a wonderful view of the beach and pool area. The pool area was nice, with a great bar, and a nice feature were the 8 to 10 hammocks the hotel provided next to the beach. The staff was friendly. There was plenty of parking, and a small grocery store directly across the Coastal highway. It's a Holiday Inn, not the Ritz, but my family and I enjoyed it.

This was our first trip to Ocean City. We loved the hotel! The front desk was extremely nice (very helpful in recommendations). Our room was exactly how we pictured it would be for a hotel room (clean and comfortable). Our favorite family fun was the pool and beach. The location of this hotel was perfect. We would absolutely come back to this hotel and have already recommended it to friends.
