I was introduced to Dunes Manor three years ago when my high school classmates put together a weekend to reconnect. The view is fantastic, The boardwalk is only one block away, but allows for a quiet retreat. The restaurant inside the hotel has great food, and the pub and grill is also a nice addition to the amenities. Our housekeeper, Nicki, was very attentive to our needs.

While we enjoyed the evening music, four hours straight, along with the singing, is a little much, especially since there is no place to escape unless you want to go out or stay in your room. It also made it difficult to listen to the TV in pub and we could not follow the baseball or football games. It would be nice if there were a quiet area where you could enjoy some quiet time reading as the lighting in the room is not soft, and kept my husband from sleeping.

As far as services for our group, the hotel was very accommodating and our dinner was superb.

I recently returned to the Dunes Manor Hotel with my husband for an end of summer visit to
Ocean City, Maryland. Although we are now Florida residents, we have a soft spot for this Eastern Shore beach resort having first gone there as children over seventy years ago. We found this hotel to be a relaxing and serene place with an ocean front balcony to view stunning sunrises and to hear the soothing sound of the surf on the beach. Although not a five star hotel, there is a broad array of hospitality from the helpful staff, tea in the afternoon, happy hour, morning coffee in the lobby, lemon water for a refreshing drink just to name a few. The best of all is breakfast in the hotel dining room. This is truly a hidden gem that one needs to discover. My favorite is Eggs Florentine. This dish is prepared wuth lump crab meat and it is truly to die for. The Phyllo dough cups lined with fresh spinach, topped with crab, perfectly poached eggs and a creamy Mornay Sauce is worth the trip to Ocean City. If
you are passing this way, don't miss this treat that I feel cannot be matched anywhere.

Room Tip: The corner queen rooms are somewhat larger and the views from the top floor is unobstructed as ther...

My mom has knee issues and when making our reservation for a few days in Oct. asked if the pool was indoor and had stairs down into the pool with rail. The hotel did not mention to her that the pool was an indoor/outdoor pull and the stair part was actually on the outside part. It was too cold to be entering the pool from this side so we did not go swimming which was a disappointment. For this reason we would not go back to the hotel. However the hotel was nice, clean and comfortable to stay at otherwise. We enjoyed the tea in the afternoon and the staff were very nice. We did eat at the main restaurant and found that the food was not really up to par and would not eat there again.

My wife and I stayed at the Dune Manor Hotel the second week in October. The assistant manager Janice made a very good impression. She took the time to explain the hotel amenities and recommended the hotel restaurants. The room was comfortable and the beds were great (nice and firm). The neighbors were a little rowdy at times but that's not the hotels fault. All and all it was a great stay. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: You might want to request upper level floors to avoid the lights from the veranda on the lobby level...
