Stayed in a condo right on the lake and found many places that rent all kinds of water toys, boats, kayaks, water bikes, jet skis.
Water looked clean, not busy at all for August. Easy to get around the lake to places to eat and shop for anything you forgot or want to take back for memories.

We went back into our history where we used to ski and have wonderful family time.

Since it had been at least 20 years since my husband and I had been there it was wonderful to be back but boy did it change!

What a great place for families. The changes are all for the better and, zip lines, obstacle course, mountain downhill slide and so much more. Go you will have fun!!

Cool and fairly clear (except when stirred up by weekend boat traffic). The usual water sports are available, including skiing, fishing and sailing. Due to many private homes along the shoreline, access is somewhat limited, but there are ample public access areas. A nice inland retreat.

The lake is beautiful and the forest surrounding it is gorgeous but what makes the destination appealing is how family friendly it is. A great place to disconnect from electronic devices and enjoy nature. Rent a pontoon boat and enjoy the lake. Go hiking or bike riding and enjoy nature. A must stop for families who want to talk to each other.

We rented a house (Hollywood) for a week with family and since there were 18 of us, ranging in age from 11 weeks to 89 years old, we were looking for a place that offered a broad range of activities that each of us could enjoy. With the exception of renting a boat, we took in most of what the area had to offer! The house was in a great location near the Honi Honi bar and Silvertree with wonderful lakefront views. Our favorite day was when we went zip lining, mountain coastering and white water rafting. A fantastic experience! The man-made rafting experience at The Wisp was a ton of fun and a great family experience. It was well worth the money for two hours of rafting. You really felt like you were on a real rapid. I f(the Mom) flew out of the raft on the first go around, then my 9 year old son fell out on the second go around. But our guide was incredible and helped us back in the raft so fast, I barely knew I flew out! A very exhilarating experience and great work out, too. We also did the go cart thing and miniature golf, which of course the kids enjoyed. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it rained every day, which I understand is somewhat common in that area. As a result, we didn't rent a boat or jet ski, which would have heightened our experience. We brought our own tandem kayak and rented a paddle boat, so did get out in the water a little. We cooked our meals in, so did not venture out for the nightlife. Our house had an incredible wraparound deck with a fire place outdoors, so hard to beat that view!
