“nice place to stay”

This is my main stop on business trips. The rooms are spacious, updated, comfortable and clean. The staff members are exceptionally friendly and helpful. One of the most thought staff members is a girl named Dina. I have watched her in action many times. She is thoughtful and pleasant to everyone who walks in the door. It is also, close to 95 yet quite.

Room Tip: the rooms on the south side are quieter

This HI Express had all the usual comforts and amenities I've come to appreciate but the walls are pretty thin - I could hear the guy next door coughing and sneezing! The staff was wonderful! The woman working in the breakfast area was bound and determined to get the malfunctioning pancake machine working no matter what! And she did. She was pleasant and cheerful and a nice friendly face in the morning.

Hotel was clean. Lobby smelled nice. Hallways were warm, but we don't sleep in the hallway. :) Room was clean, bathroom was clean. No complaints. Didn't eat breakfast, so can't comment about that. All in all...an enjoyable stay.

Since I needed only one bed, the friendly desk clerk took it upon herself to upgrade me to a king room. The room was great, located at the end of the corridor yet near the elevator. Everything was very comfortable, clean and in good working order. Althought the hotel is not directly adjacent to the I-95 exit, it's only a short drive, plus it's close to major shopping and restaurants located just beyond. The signature free continental breakfast was pefect, well-stocked and appetizing. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Room Tip: If you're bothered by road noise, request rooms on south side away from surface road.

The girl at the desk Shanatee was very, very nice. When i got to my room, i was on the third floor, on the end, and i could hear someone walking back and forth, back and forth, and finally it stopped above me. i kept the fan on to drowned it out, but could sometimes still hear it. Needs new beds, mine was kind of wirey.. pillows seemed to be a little old and lumpy.. It seems it has been updated somewhat, and the hallway carpet smelled new. The breakfast was good. I would stay here again but only on the top floor so i couldn't hear anyone above me. it was very clean ,and the noise from the road was not as bad as i thought it would be.. the fan can drowned it out..

Room Tip: be sure to ask for a room on the top floor so you cannot hear anyone walking around above you

We only stopped for a night on the way down Interstate 95. I'm sure that is a pretty normal visit for this well located motel. We wee greeted as loyal customers, given a treat favor and given a free upgrade to a Jacuzzi Suite. Not a big deal for a one night stay but it was appreciated. The property will clean and well maintained. The front desk was very helpful, from WiFi, how the heat worked and even the hot water. It took a while for the hot water to make it to the tub. A call down gave us the answer, let it run and withing five minutes a knock at the door by a nice man who wanted to make sure that everything was working ok. He explained that sometimes it takes time to get the hot water through the pipes. We have the same thing at home from time to time. They were so nice and handled all of our questions so well. Breakfast was great, you have many choices with HIE and the breakfast room and staff was top notch. If you need a great place to stay in North East just off of Route 95 this is the place. We will be back.

Room Tip: If you are not getting up to hit the road in the am you may want to ask for a room towards the back...

This hotel is fine. Ask for a room away from the road. North East is a small waterfront town with great food and shopping. I highly suggest not to worry about this hotel. It's perfect for staying right off 95 and VERY close to North East (about 2-3 minutes). The maanagers at the hotel are very accomodating and will do their best to help get a room at suits your needs. They are even available after regular hours. Our family often stays here since it is so close to everything, especially 95 North and South. I would say this place is average as I think most place are if you are just jumping off the highway. Rooms and linens are clean and breakfacst in the morning. Go walking in North East and stop by Steak & Main (a.k.a. The Oyster House) as seen on the Travel Channel "man vs Food" show. The food is amazing whether you sit at the bar or the dining room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the main road and maybe not backed up to the train tracks.
