“Lovely drive, saw lots of deer”

The drive to Elk Neck was very nice and we immediately saw a large buck upon entering the parking lot. We started walking to the light house but didn't make it because of rain. While leaving we encountered 3 more deer one was a piebald deer, a rare sight. We would love to go back and walk more of the rustic grounds. The water is some distance below ,the scenery from the walking path is very nice.

Take a hike on the trail leading to Turkey Point Lighthouse & don't forget your camera. The views are beautiful. It's a great place to have a picnic or just hang out & read a book. On weekends you can climb the lighthouse. the sunsets are worth it. the best part is t's FREE! that's my kind of price.Take time to stop in Northeast, MD. there are some cool little shops.

If you're looking for some average type camping with good fishing, this might be your spot. The place is not that well kept and could use some maintenance. There are boat ramps, but the facilities are lacking. There are nicer places to visit on the Chesapeake Bay.

We always have a fun and relaxing time with friends and family. We live in North East and this is one of our favorite campgrounds to visit. The only thing I wish was different would be more sites with full hook ups. We would visit more often as it can be hard to get into sometimes. We usually schedule months ahead as there are several families that camp together. Out end of the year camping trip is always at Elk Neck for our Thanksgiving get together.

Stayed in a mini cabin, very cozy! The old growth forest was amazing. Great water access, great camp store. The park is very well run, clean and well groomed. It appears the park could use more funding tho.... Bathhouses in need of an update but well maintained. Will rerun for sure.
