This was my third visit to bethesda North Marriott each time for a conference. It really is a very good ambasador for the Marriott brand. It is modern and stylish with a real luxury feel to it. I stayed in a standard room for one night then was udgraded to a junior suite for the remainder of my stay. Both rooms were spacious and had the usual comfortable Marriott bed. The standard room on the 10th floor was good but was very hot and even with air conditioning full on and set at 65 did not drop in temperature below 73. Junior suite was even mores spacious much more like a Marriott Suites room with a separate lounge and bedroom but with the addition of a small kitchen - but no microwave?? i ate breakfast in the lounge and that was very good. Also spent some time in the bar (well it was a conference) - service was good and the range of beers was excellent. Probably the only downside to the location is the lack on restaurants in the immediate area surrounding the hotel.

Definitely one of my favourite Marriotts !

Full time business traveler: Only stayed for one night at the Marriott but this was an excellent stay. I give it a definite recommend. Parking is ample, staff was very friendly and helpful, lobby is quite nice, the inside of the hotel is very nice, rooms were cozy, bed was very comfortable. The room is not spacy. The bathroom was very nice in its decor. The Internet was good, Video/audio was good. Work space was good for the small-ish room size. Environmental controls quite good (on a very cold night the room warmed up easy and quickly).
As mentioned I only stayed for one evening but for the short stay I was impressed. It does not get high marks for price-value but was not exorbitant. I give it a definite recommendation and found it the best in that immediate area.

Pluses: 1) Great location next to the metro station; 2) friendly and helpful staff; 3) clean rooms.

So-so: Food and prices in the restaurant; the expected over-priced convention type fare.

Minus: Musty room ventilation. I'm more sensitive than average to that so I tend to notice it. I didn't complain about it because I noticed it as soon as I got off the elevator which indicated that it's a problem in all the rooms. Oddly, and typically, the problem is in the rooms and not the lobby and other common areas. My experience is that it's a frequent problem at Marriott hotels, especially those located where the summers are hot and humid. Maybe it has something to do with the HVAC design they use in all their hotels. I've tried the room merry-go-round in the past to no avail so I don't even try anymore. I avoid Marriotts whenever possible but sometimes, like this visit, I don't have a choice.

Stayed at the bethesda north Marriott for a family function in the area. Arrived fridaybafternoon, rooms were ready, bellhop very friendly and eager to please. The only down point of the weekend was the concierge room was not open. The room is for platinum members so we like to go there for breakfast. The breakfast in the lobby is outrageously expensive, they mad no accommodations for the room being closed. They could have offered us a coupon or discount. The doors are very heavy so when people leave their rooms the door slams and wakes you up. No matter how quiet you try to leave your room the door makes too much noise. Other than that everyone that stayed had a nice experience. We had at least 6 rooms reserved and one suite.

stayed here for 2 nights on business. Room and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is just 2 minutes walk from White Flint Metro which was a plus point for me.

Breakfast was good but rather expensive.

I had free wifi - but if you had to pay it was rather expensive as it only came as a package with phone calls - which most people wouldn't want.

Room Tip: ask one away from the lifts if the noise of the lift arriving - a loud bong - is likely to disturb you.
