“A bit pricey for the area”

All the bake goods taste the same and are very expensive for the area. How can a muffin cost $4.00, it's outragious.

This place is great. Their bakery items are fantastic (brownies are so good), and they are super friendly. It's nice to sit down and look out the window down the street to the water.

Sweet Sue's is the place to go for breakfast! They have wonderful breakfast sandwiches, awesome muffins, cinnamon rolls, lattes, coffee and lots of other stuff too. I have also ordered a cake for an event, and it was great. I have seen them make very well designed cakes for all types of events. The staff is very warm and friendly as well.

We've gone here for years with good luck when in the area. Had a cake made for a special occasion (Christmas) recently and when we picked it up it was nothing at all like what we ordered (and would pay a LOT for). Owner was there and brought the slip out to show me I was wrong and that the order made was correct and it showed that the cake was not what was ordered at all instead (had talked to them 3 times prior to pick up). Rather than apologize -- kept us waiting for what he said would be a fix in 30 mins (no way to fix it that fast - it wasn't even close to what was ordered) -- but we ordered a drink and sat and waited for the cake miracle -- he came back out 20 mins later and said it would really take a few hours to fix so go and come back in 2-3 hrs. Then charged us for the drink (water) we had while waiting....we should not have come back, but to honor the commitment (AND I needed the cake for a promised Christmas event!), I went back (40 mile trip one way)....cake was done ---no offer of any discount or apology -- nothing for all of the inconvenience of a wrong order - not even a free drink for keeping us all am and then sending away. New owners have no clue about customer service and the cake was so-so at best. Try Blondies --- this isn't the same place it used to be.

A pleasant place to stop near the antiques stores. Limited menu, but tasty and nice local color. Nice service. Clean.
