Local watering hole with small dining room on the side. Its not the prettiest Restraunt and it's small but the chef is amazing! The Billy Bada$$ Wings are certainly different but great!! My boyfriend always raves about the porkchops and I love the mussels that come with several different "preparation" styles.

We were in town for an event and visited Neptune's for dinner. What a mistake! One member of our party ordered the crab cakes and found every bite to be full of shells and inedible. When our waitress returned 30 minutes after serving us (yes, they were very busy), the member of our party with the crabcakes told the waitress they were inedible, clearly only slightly touched, and asked to be credited on our bill. After conferring with her manager, our waitress stated the crab came straight from their supplier on the docks, and they couldn't be responsible for it, so the bill would not be adjusted: no offer for another meal, no offer for a complementary dessert or drink, nothing. The manager never came out to us. I realize that crab cakes will contain the occasional shell or two, but these cakes had more shell than crab. When the menu says "Market Price" and cost over $20, you expect better. Obviously, because we were tourists, management didn't care.

The location is great being on the main street. Beer is cold and drinks and amazing. The food is good but not anything special. The "bad***" wings were different and delicious. Busy on a Friday night. I only ate here while vacationing in the area and would probably try another restaurant in the area so I would have something to compare it to. Staff was very friendly, espically the bartender. A friend said the fries were the best she had ever had.

The food at Neptunes is Awesome. It is more of a fine dining experience in a little beach pub. The food is always Excellent and the atmosphere is fun.

Decided to go to North Beach/Chesapeake Beach as day trip having seen it recommended in a travel magazine. It was a nice, quiet beach town with some nice shops and very friendly people. We struck up a conversation with one of the shop owners and asked her to recommend some place to eat, specifically asking for someplace to get a good crab cake. She spoke highly of Neptunes saying they had very good crab cakes. So off we were to Neptunes for lunch. Since we are from Baltimore we have high expectations for crab cakes and are used to seeing "Market Price" for entries with crab meat and we don't usually ask the price. We had some wings, a salad, cup of soup and some type of shrimp dip which were all good, absolutely no complaints. The crab cake sandwich was another story, totally bland with no back fin or lump crab meat. OK, we aren't in Baltimore and there are all different types of crab cakes, you take a chance and learn, some are very good and others you forget. This one I would forget , except the price of $18.95 for a crab cake sandwich sent me into shock! The best(totally subjective) CC's in Balto come in at $13.95 and this one wasn't even close in quality. Lesson learned, always ask what the price is when you see "market price" on the menu.
By the way, this place had one of the coldest beers we have ever been served!
